im sorry i just read on a site that its about 60 cals u burn /hr when you're sleeping therefore if we sleep 8 hrs doesnt that mean that we've burnt 480 while we're sleeping? and therefore when you said that in order we lose 1 pound we need to burn 3500 calories out of the 3500 calories we consumed per week that means 500/day... so does that mean that we only have to burn around 100 calories during the day if we only eat 500 calories? or we still have to burn 500 cals during the day and at night the 500 cals burnt are from the reserved calories that we have? so in this case it means that we burn 1000 cals and consume 500 cals that means theres a 500 cals deficit per day.. thank you for everything.. sorry if im being very annoying however i really want to lose my weight so i can move around the court quickly... and i cant really afford any personal trainer or nutritionist.. i really appreciate ur answer on my last post.. god bless!

you should have stayed in your original thread, not open another one each time you have a related question.

also, 500calories/day doesn't seem to be a real figure.

If you want to lose weight, stop with the obsessing over calories-you are now wasting valuable time-right NOW you should be on an exercise bike sweating yourself silly.

Don't even THINK about calories-most of these numbers are guesses, rough calculations anyway. You don't need to obsess about the actual numbers to lose the weight. That's hopless fat women Jenny Craig/Weight Watchers garbage. And do those people EVER lose the weight and keep it off? 95% DON'T. Just do what you need to do-develop a practical eating (not dieting) and exercise plan-there are literally 100's of thousands of free sources for this-and DO IT, and record your progress The calories, or loss thereof, will take care of themselves. Get your fat a** into the gym...now.

That's quite difficult too.

For the original poster:

Just cut your previous food intake (on which you didn't lose weight) with 40% on ALL items and check where you are at the end of a week. If more than 2-3lbs are lost, put a little bit back in terms of food. You will not die, just try it, I went through it. Go for quality not quantity.

Problem might be you've kept no records. And this is where you must work. Same for a log of your exercises, in order to see your progress. No will, no gain.

Tell me what you ate yesterday. List everything including any snacks like potato chips, chocolate bars, fizzy drinks, beer etc.

i'm sorry if i opened another thread :(.. i have started the plan that u guys told me for about 4 days now.. by only eating 500cals/day however i could only burn a max of 350 cals and that is by running 6km... that is what the main reason i asked about the calories.. because in order to lose all 500 i'd probably have to run around 7km which is impossible for me i'd get really tired.. im really sorry if i asked a lot of questions... but id like to know even if i dont go to any gym and sleep all day that means ive already burnt 24x60 = 1440 cals and if i only eat 500 that means ive already burnt the calories in my body even without any exersice.. so that is my only question im really sorry.. i just really need help to lose weight

Stop whining, stop apologizing and just do it. You don't need help...only YOU can lose the weight, regardless of how much advice people are willing to give you. You obviously can READ, and you have an Internet connection, so Goggle "weight loss" or weight loss programs or any number of combinations thereof. Stop wasting time drowning yourself in petty details like "doing X amount of nothing will result in Y loss in calories." Don't you get it? You are the ONLY one who can lose YOUR excess flab. Mama's not gonna do it for you. If I was in your living room right now, by God I'd have you doing push-ups and 8-count bodybuilders until you were puking up that Big Mac and jumbo fries you quaffed last night, and then have you do some more. As I said in my previous post, get thee fat a** moving.

perhaps you're runnning too fast. take it slowly. more distance with come gradually, after some time. you have to be able to breath comfortably.

e.g. at the beginning, the pace/speed that you run at should be no more than 70% or your max heart rate for your age. find that, buy a HRM (preferably) or use your watch to measure your pulse.

also, running is more difficult than biking. do a part of the cardio on a stationary bike.
