Starting off a regime to get really fit tomorrow. Not like a body building thing, but to get my strength up without losing flexibility.

That is a great goal, good luck to you. Like the Romans said, "Mens sana in corpore sano" ( A healthy mind in a healthy body,) and this is also part of my New Year resolution program.

Remember that nutrition is even more important than exercise though.

A Japanese shoe manufacturer thinks it’s Anima Sana In Copore Sano. Hence, the shoes (all 100 of them) Sentipeed laces up could be ASICS brand, not MSICS.

Not to worry about good food. It’s the recovery and sleep, I am very concerned about. But will be working the whole set-up. High goals in sports, other than tennis though.

Yes, I’m bouncing on ASICS. [emoji109]

I eat almost nothing but junk food (though am a lacto ovo vegetarian) and drink several beers a night. I run 70-80 miles a week and do that specifically so I can eat and drink whatever I want to. Exercise is vastly more important than diet to millions of people. How many couch potatoes do you know who eat well but still look like garbage and can't even walk up a flight of stairs? You can eat perfectly well and yet be totally unfit and have zero cardio fitness. Sure, for weight lifters diet is integral, but I've never known a marathoner who eats "clean." Our diets generally consist of pizza, carbs and lots of bread.

No, it is really not. Not in the long run. Running is also a very poor choice of exercise, as it is high impact. I can't tell you the amount of people I see running with visible difficulty and obviously suffering from pain, but completely ignoring it and thus making things even worse (worn out cartilage, damaged tendons, etc,) every day as I go to work. Swimming, fast walking, biking, and weight lifting are all far superior to running, which is basically you stomping the ground repetitively and sending shockwaves through your whole body expecting things to be OK.

If you eat garbage and exercise what you do is burn excess fuel and maybe flush toxins, and you might seem fit and healthy for some period, but the damage at a cellular level is cummulative and in some cases permanent. Running like a madman in order to eat crap is about the worst thing you can do. The opposite would be far preferable (eat a perfect, low calorie diet so you can do a minimum amount of exercise) within reason. You are doing things backasswards.

One galaxy at a time.
"One AYCE at a time" is the motto for Overlordeshs. Wanted by the Las Vegas AYCE Council Intergalactic Patrol, and blacklisted by P.F. Chang in 27 sideral sectors (I mean states.)

Yes, that's right. P.F. Chang needs to centralize their database, those fools. They donut no wut they are dealing with.

I also am aiming to find a beautiful, intelligent, and morally superior female with whom to engage in philosophical conversations after torrid sessions of passionate lovemaking.

I found one, who could replace my doctor in polytech in engineering. Lovely char and slim chick...

Just for the record, how much is a few - several? How many half a liter cans a night.

The next 6 months I just want to devout to grappling and nothing else
Maybe by next summer I will finally return to tennis and do more normal things .
My tennis game has suffered as I lost my speed and cannot serve

Grappling is a merciless sport with a lot of injuries.

I have a friend whose son has a grappling club.

It is brutal, even on a lower level, and he trains some national level athletes.

You need to talk to Sureshs. He'll improve your tennis game 100% in one sitting. Sureshs doesn't grapple. I don't even think he knows what a grape is. He's the Protein Monster.

Yes it’s brutal but my club seems pretty safe and only 1 injury last year that caused me to miss 3 weeks

No f**acking idea, what grappling is... stoned away by the invoked brutalism in grappling, yet have no idea of what’s happening in it.
