Stanimal found his timing.
Anyways, concluding for my thoughts in this thread, Nadal is the greater USO champion 4 >3, but Djokovic had the tougher draws/competition. These two things are not mutually exclusive, both can happen.
Djokovic dealt with Federer's peak, prime. Overall 6 matches.
Djokovic also faced Lendlized Murray, the same Murray who was two games from beating Djokovic that very same year in AO.
Djokovic lost to Stanimal, the same Stanimal who actually beat Djokovic at AO, nearly beat him again there in 2013.
Djokovic faced peak version of Nadal at USO.
Has Djokovic not taken all his opportunties, yes. 2014 and 2020 were bad ways to go out, and I think Nadal would never have let such things happen. Hrnce why it is 4 > 3 as it stands. Nadal made the most of his opportunties when they were presented, Djokovic didn't, but Djokovic overall also had the tougher competition.
