stoffer said:So Fed's a lock for number 1 obviously, but what about the rest of the top 5-10? I think Roddick may retain his #2 seed but where would Nadal, Nalbandian, Ljuby and friends fit on the ladder?
ACE of Hearts said:I think Roddick will get a high seed depending if he wins the title in queens.
simi said:I would not be at all suprised to see Ivan with the 2 seed and Andy down to 3 or 4. David and Rafael seeded in the top five, but I doubt we would see Roger and Rafael in the same half of the draw, nor would we see Roger and Andy in the same half.

i'm not sure about it but i think it's a mix between the usual rankings and the grass court results of the past 2 years...
(anybody has the "magical formula" that they use ?)
i like ivan... but according to his grass court record, it would be surprising to see him n°2... roddick, maybe ?
Breaker said:Unless Nadal loses at the French there is no way he'll be seeded lower than 2nd. He already has over 4600 points and there's no way Roddick can get over 2000 points from his Wimbledon final and Stella Artois to get the 2 seed. Nalby made it to the quarters at Wimby but that's still not enough to pass Nadal. Top 5 will probably be
1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Roddick
4. Nalbandian
5. Probably Ljubicic since no one close to him can get enough points from their grass results to pass him.
6. Hewitt??
dubsplayer said:Did you figure these using the formula Wimby uses?
Breaker said:Yes but after 5 it gets trickier ince players ranked in the 20s now can sneak into the top 10 seeds at Wimby like Grosjean last year (going from 26 to 9).
Roddick gets 750 points added thanks to the formula + another 70 from Stella Artois (which he needs to win again to keep all 70 points) and then around 550 added on for the "75% of best grass result from last year". Roddick is in the 2500s in points, he gets close to 1370 points added to his ranking but unless Nadal loses at the French he still won't pass him.
Chadwixx said:He wont, if he is the #2 seed nadal will be on his side as the 3 or 4. If andy is the 3 seed they will put him in the nadal (#2) side. Also look for blake to be in the same side of the draw as roddick and nadal. Its happened the same way the past 4 years.
One thing i found amusing was the 2003 to 2004 draw. The difference was they moved ancic (a semi finalist on the roddick side) to the federer side. So not only did we have former champions in the top, we also had 3 of last years semi finalist. While the bottom was left wide open.

Chadwixx said:Ill wager a dollar Ive tried to make this bet here the past 2 years but no one will take me up on it.
malakas said:Yes,but why this happens? Why they leave half the draw so open?
superman1 said:Nadal has to be #2. His grasscourt skills don't matter, the fact is he's miles ahead of the #3 player in points.

did you go see the LAke house and became obsessed?.. and now you think you're in 2005???... check your mailbox and I'll send you a letter with the new seeds.... by the way.... Federer will win Wimby for the third time, the US open, The AO, and Nalbandian will win the Masters cup. sorry, in the next 12 months your boy Roddick will not win anything except for some irrelevant little tourney at the end of 2005. ...... and yes, Bush still has those poor kids in Iraq, let me know if you want more news from the future.vive le beau jeu ! said:and here is the ultimate cooking receipt !

The All England Club then applies a formula to re-order the 32 players who earn a seed. The formula is:
· Take INDESIT ATP Entry Ranking points at Monday, June 13, 2005
· Add 100% of points earned for all grass court tournaments in the previous 12 months
· Add 75% of points earned at a player’s best grass court event in the 12 months before that.
· Add 4 eggs.
