More spin from a poly

I'm currently using a full 17 guage X-One Biphase strung at 57 lbs on my Dunlop 4D 300 Tour. I'm a 3.5/4.0 player with a somewhat flat stroke. I'm trying to incorporate a bit more spin in my game and along with tweaks to my form I'm looking for some help from the strings. I love the biphase because of its amazing feel, but the spin potential is lacking. I don't like polys when I'm using a full setup of them but I'm hoping a combination of the biphase and a poly will give me a good balance of feel and spin. On to my questions:

1. Poly recommendations to go with the biphase? I don't have elbow problems, but I'm guessing I wouldn't be happy with very stiff polys.

2. Polys should go in the mains or crosses?

3. Will the poly absolutely tear through my biphase (local shop says yes)? I'm not a string breaker, but should I move to a 16 guage?

4. Should I consider moving away from the biphase (I really don't want to)?

Thanks for your help guys (and apologies for the basic questions)!!

1- How about set a higher tension on the mains and, keep with the 17 guage X-One Biphase?

2- Use 18 gauge X-One Biphase on the mains, since you are not a string breaker.

3- Again, since you are not a string breaker, stay away from poly.

Very simple.

Keep the X1 in the mains if you like it so much and then add a poly cross. Have a look in the gut/poly thread for poly cross recommendations.

This would be a good starting point. If you need more spin, but the poly in the mains.

Well since u can afford playing with X-one full bed, a US$ 16 setup, I think u should try a gut poly setup, something like Pacific Classic mains and MSV co-focus crosses. It'll be a US$ 17 setup and IMO u'll gain a lot of playability and spin. I just dont like nylon strings full bed but maybe that's just me.
