Hi, all
what would be most cushioned tennis shoes on current market, I need ones to recover after surgery. I still like to in trend and stick to tennis type. But if not then will move into
general /running ones, something lile Puma RSX RS X . Or... probably there are some super soft insoles which can work too.

Thanks + Happy NY.

New Balance shoes are typically pretty comfortable, Fresh Foam Lav is really really comfy. The Ultrashot series at K-Swiss is as well, probably at the top of my list on shoes. In the future, maybe try the new Adidas Ubersonics and/or Barricade (when they release next year) because they have the Lightstrike technology and they’re both light and comfortable from what I’ve seen.

NB Fresh Foam Lav has a slightly thicker insole than most and the midsole is outstanding at absorbing impact.

Babolat SFX3 are pretty comfortable, they also have a better than average insole that I use interchangeably with other shoes. Wilson Rush Pro 2.5 are also comfortable but dont last me that long.

Wilson Rush Pro 3.0 very comfortable.
Also the Asics gel Challenger is comfortable right out of the box and light weight as well.
Both of these fit me great, as well as comfort.
The key is you have to find the right fit, as if fit is not right, you will not have any comfort.

Wilson rush pro 3.0 is a great shoe with a padded toe and heel. Great amount of foam and durability while lighter than a vapor. Make sure to double sock or wear thorlos.

Thanks much to all for so big feedback, Uff... need spend some time now to go all over all options. Everybody has it's own sponsor brand :) .
I will see what I can find.
I tried Asics gel Challenger before, they bit hard for my situation. Will check others. After join replacement I might stick to most thick sole version, will sacrifice performance for a while.

Happy New Year

I really liked the Nike Zoom Zeroes when I had them, extremely comfortable, however the eyelets just kept breaking. I switched to the Vapor X Knits.

TRETRON Nyelite tennis shoes--they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever had, wore them in the 70's, so did Tom Brown. I didn't think they were made anymore but looks like they are. They advertise them as "THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE YOU'LL EVER WEAR".

The prior consensus on the board for best cushioning for play is the Asics Gel Resolution.

also Prince T22 and one Yonex shoe (cant remember the name)

Dont try to play tennis in them, but for general wear or walking/jogging, Hoka One One is awesome.

Yonex shoes have historically had a reputation for their shock absorption. Diadora has long had a history of producing shoes with a very soft ride.

Bumping this. Any other suggestions for 2021?
I'm interested if there is something new as well. Been using the Prince T22's for years figuring if I play in shoes with the best shock absorption I can find I may avoid joint replacement.

I change shoes pretty frequently too. As soon as I feel them start to break down.

I will try the Asics Gel Resolution's one day but can't justify the extra $50 over the T22's right now.

i've tried...
  1. diadora blueshield 5. all the better if you can find a 4 on sale, they're the same shoe except 5's have a stiffer upper (more support, but potentially less comfortable depending on your foot shape)
  2. kswiss ultrashot 3 (cushioning out of box a lot more bouncy and comfortable than the ultrashot 2, thin scrunchy tongue though)
haven't tried...
  1. nike vapor cage 4 (reviews on this are very polarized...either worst or best shoe ever, haven't read any middling reviews)
  2. sole court boost (wanted to try these but enough reviews mentioned the wide lateral flange isn't durable at all and breaks apart to scare me off, and they're always out of stock anyway. also a lot of people mentioned lack of forefoot cushioning, so no go for me when seeking comfort)
IME gel res 8 were not the most comfortable out of box, felt quite firm. didn't buy them so i can't comment how comfort is after they break in.

Sorry to bring up this old topic. However, I would be interested to know if there is anything New here (GP Turbos still on top or K Swiss Ultrashots)? Unfortunately, my knees need as much padding as possible.

Yonex Eclipsion 3s are very plush right from the get go in my experience. More comfortable than the Solecourt Boosts, though I found the Boost cushioning remained plush for longer than the cushion in the Yonex shoe.
