After damaging two ligaments in Miami, Murray's team have revealed he is recovering well and out of the walking boot - and the injury will not require surgery.

"His rehab is going well and he is hoping to start hitting on court again soon. As yet he doesn't have a date for returning to competition".

He remains on the entry list for Roland Garros, but yu'd have to think he is most likely not going to return until the grass season in the UK to play in presumably his last Wimbledon.

Murray's problem is he hasnt improved his game from 10 years ago and the game has moved on now and is more aggressive. His 2nd serve in particular is nowhere near good enough.

he's retiring this year... i don't think this is really an issue

Great to see him back on court so soon. I thought this was him done.

I am not sure whether it's worth pursuing the clay court swing now? Maybe he will want 1 last match at RG but if it's a straight sets loss as he hasn't played any clay events would it be worthwhile? I'd like to think he will play Madrid and Rome, but I'm assuming Madrid especially will come far too quickly and Rome may still be a bit late to play yourself into any kind of clay form, although at least it's better than not playing a warm up. Alternatively he could move straight to grass and get a headstart on the opposition like he has previously and play a challenger or two before ATP grass events start.

I am sure he can get that by playing some of the grass warm ups and Wimbledon itself.

Depends on what kind of draw he gets though. Hopefully he won't draw De Minaur in the 1st round of either!

A couple of more wins would be great too so it rounds off at 740.

I don't think anyone of the age of 30 plus wants to draw De Minaur these days. LOL

Murray's game was good enough to secure his ranking as 4th best player of the Big 3 era.

Frankly who of the Old Guard, other than Djokovic (always the exception), has changed or improved his game in any significant way? Nobody else I can think of.

Nadal did hugely, flatter FH, bigger 2nd serve and bigger BH.
Federer also became more aggressive, probably should have done so earlier.

I need to know how many healthy ligaments he still have left, so I can better calculate his chances.

Andy, give it up! What do you gain by always losing during the 1st three rounds?

Bro, every single match the guy plays is a "home game"

Who else has had that level of esteem? Rafa? Fed?

Why would he give that up?

Not to mention the fact that with every match he sets the bar for what a player can do on an artificial hip. Murray's case will be studied for decades in sports/medicine. Murray is a treasure

Murray is in better shape than either Nadal or Thiem but everyone agrees that "the tour needs a healthy Nadal/Thiem"

Why is it any different for Andy?
