"We need to pay him more"
.... You really like taunting people manHead are chasing to sign a specific player before releasing this racquet
Who?Head are chasing to sign a specific player before releasing this racquet
Karlovic can't serve either ;-)I believe a guy named Goran had over 10k aces in his career and he used a head racket. Yep, head rackets can't serve.
the new frame is called the MXG, there are two models coming out in May, the one thats being tested by pros right now is going to replace or takeover the current Prestige line and won't be out until late 2017
Ohhhhhh boy, I feel sorry for Andy (HPO) already...the new frame is called the MXG, there are two models coming out in May, the one thats being tested by pros right now is going to replace or takeover the current Prestige line and won't be out until late 2017
Doesn't surprise me anymore. Im out of the loop now. There should be demos floating around soon if late 2017 is the release date and more things will be evident too.Ohhhhhh boy, I feel sorry for Andy (HPO) already...
What the heck is Head HQ doing though?!
@vsbabolat @dr325i
It is NOT replacing the Prestige line, it is new line unto itself.Wow, MXG, replacing the Prestige Line, looks like I'll stock up on the old ones
Well then it's your claim against that of others...It is NOT replacing the Prestige line, it is new line unto itself.
Looking at the specs the current MXG line that's coming out is not going to replace the Prestige line. That's not to say that in some fashion that the injected molded Magnesium bridge won't be a part of the next version of the Prestige when it's released. This is just a theory or thought I have and I have no facts.T

Maybe head are merging the prestige and extreme line?Wasn't the earlier rumor that Extreme line was being cut for this new line? Now I'm hearing from some solid sources that it is the Prestige? - what is going on!
Good point, didn't think of that. Will not sit well with Prestige purists, I can tell you that much.Maybe head are merging the prestige and extreme line?
I don't think anything Head does sits well with the purists.Good point, didn't think of that! Will not sit well with Prestige purists, I can tell you that much.
A) Well, there already are Prestige Players who endorse Radical (see Murray). I assume some will go to Radical and some to Speed, maybe depending on the String Pattern they really use. There are two problems to this prestige replacing theory.
A) If they are really replacing the prestige line for this MXG, all the pro tour prestige players will go for radical PJ? There are huge holes on this frame, and I don't think they will be able to paint the holes like they did with the Flexpoint line.
B) About this highly ranked pro player that it is supposed to endorse it, he will really have to go for the Retail MXG, they will have to find someone that is really considering endorcing this new line of racquets. At least would be first time in years that a Head player will wield a frame with the real PJ.
I really doubt they will remove the prestige line. But if so, it will be a (even bigger) orgy of PJs!!!!!!!
Does it not volley like a rockstar?! I'm amazed by the MXG3 - it's not pushed around at the net at all!I got two test frames today Cant post any pics until official launch but it feels fantastic so far!

Traditional Head grip shape, or Speed series shape?Absolutely smooth and no vibrations from this frame. Really well dampened even for a stiff frame
Traditional Head grip shape, or Speed series shape?
Postponed for a while due to ... SNOW!! We have freezing cold and snow again so no tennis for a week now. Sorry! All I can say so far is that the racket is very solid, almost no vibrations at all, big sweetspot, magnificent ball-bite and good power. Surprisingly good control for this type of racket. This is for the 295 grams version. How about a review without pictures?
