Yeah, good call.I think Nadal should have done what Djokovic and Federer did and taken time out after winning the FO and not played at Queens. A lot of the commentators mentioned that he looked tired. I was surprised he got past del Potro if I am honest let alone Murray.
Sorry OP, but no. This 2011 Djokovic is the problem, and the riddle that Nadal needs to find an answer to as soon as possible.
He seems to be heading further and further away from the answer, it seems.
wierd, since he just won a set today, for the first time in 3 meetings...
BUT MOVING AWAY, U SAY?
Queens had nothing to do with it. He destroyed Murray after a slight blip and was playing great tennis. Djokovic was just too good as he has been 4 other times this season. Excuses are pathetic when a guy beats you 5 finals with the loss of 3 sets. that's 11 sets to 3 across all surfaces.
He didn't destroy Murray, Murray's level collapsed.
He did look exhausted, I think the match against Del Potro was key, really wore him out, and with hindsight he should have skipped Queen's.
6-2 6-2 is being destroyed.
Tired, injured, blah blah blah..
Djokovic is probably the most mentally tired player out there with everything he has achieved (that was Nadal's excuse at the US Open 2008 wasn't it?)
Really he should have beaten Delpo (grass novice) more easily, and if two or three matches at queens ruin your chances at wimbledon then you're not much of a player. nadal IS a great player, hence the queens excuse is not valid. Djokovic had NO preperation on grass becuase he skipped queens.
I'm not making excuses for anyone, I'm saying Nadal looked exhausted out there. Why are you bringing up the US Open in 2008? He also played poorly, by his standards, and if he hadn't played Queen's he might have been fresher.

So how long is he going to take?
Wasn't he supposed to "figure out" Nole by the time clay season rolled around?
Then at Rome, he was supposed to teach the Serb a lesson on "real clay".
Grass season came and went and Nadal STILL hasn't beaten him even though he is supposedly playing better on grass than on clay this year (refer to thread in General Discussion).
This "Djokovic puzzle" sure is taking a while for the masterminds of the Nadal camp.....
Nadal will just have to keep trying. That's all he can do.

Oh for god's sake. Please!!!!! Do you think reasonable intelligent people could actually believe this excuse. Come on.
Djokovic has outplayed Nadal technically and mentally their past five meetings. That is it. There is no magic involved here. As Mustard says above, it is up to Nadal to try and figure out the riddle that is Djokovic now. End of story.
No. Djokovic must beat Nadal 8.3333 (repeating of course) times before we all stop making excuses. For the 6th time, I'll say it was b/c of knees. For the 7th time, bad memories from Wimbledon. For the 8th time, something was in his eye. For the 8.333 time, we'll all give up.

Nadal had a virus one of the times he was beaten previously but you probably ignored that. So how did he go on to win the FO and beat the man who beat Djokovic. I don't think Djokovic played any different to Federer when he was beaten in 2008. In fact most people are still saying that was the very best match. Yes it is good for tennis to see a new face and I would hate Rafa to become a dead cert because that can kill the excitement of what the tennis game is all about and makes it unique
He should have learned from Fed and somehow should have bailed out of Queens. He could do that a few years back. Not so anymore.
If I'm not mistaken he played doubles as well???
Eh, can't see the comparison or relevance, last time Fed played Queens was in 1999.

Maybe you were sleeping but Djokovic had defeated Nadal 4 times in a row previous to Wimbledon. Was Nadal sick or tired in those matches too? I must admit I too thought Nadal had the edge because it was Novak's worse surface on grass and Nadal had previously defeated Nadal in best of 5 sets, however after this Wimbledon beat down I am pretty confident Novak will win in future meetings unless Nadal can come up with a game plan. Also Nadal is mentally weak with Djokovic. That is a big factor which is hard to ignore.
Evidently, Nadal was trying to flush the fatigue out of his system by playing queens.
