"Nadal wrong again," says Becker

Becker just has to find ways to insert himself in conversations, and always something controversial tied to a current big name. So sad who he became.

Pete is still doing things right. Few courteous waves and comments, some opinoins, but usually in line with what people believe anyways. Then gets the hell out of the spotlight. He is always asked and never looking for it for sure. Boris...needs the money I guess and likes the Howard Stern mentality of drama to find opportunities.
I don't really disagree. Becker's like a Wilander-lite at times.

But he is still paid to offer his views, whereas Sampras opted out from all of that.

Becker did not say: "Nadal wrong..."
Also, I couldn't find the text: ¤¤ "It's not always about Nadal," adds the German.¤¤

You put words in Becker's mouth.

"How I am wrong?" wonders the one-time star.

Nadal wrong again? That implies Nadal was wrong at some point previously - when was this?

becker is right, nadal is wrong.......a huge thumbs down to nadal and to every member of the big three if they ever again comment on the state of tennis in future in such a bad way.......it's a total shame that after all these years they try to colour the playing conditions bad, the very same conditions which are the major reason behind their great success.......

there is no need to be worried about tennis.......why is nadal opening up now on the state of tennis after he has 20 slams in the pocket? why did he not voice the same message ten years ago when players with tact like dolgopolov, janowicz, to some extent dimitrov and the likes got killed due to slow surfaces?

ideal playing conditions for baseline tennis were created on tour in the mid-2000s specifically for the fraud-dal duo.......that continued to be the theme of the tour over the last 15 years.......talkin as if they were created last year reeks hypocrisy of fraudesque proportions.......even fed started complaining on various things once he got his 20 slams.......all we need now is to ultron chip in with some of his own hypocrisy.......

i think it is time to take down the bug-3 clowns from their thrones sooner than later........enough is enough.......i am enjoying the sport without them and i like most new and next gen players, yet to pick a favourite.......

TTW tells me the game is getting slower and slower, but Nadal thinks it is only getting faster. Who should i trust?

You should trust the TTW army posters "everything was better before", and anything recent just sucks. Nadal doesn't know much. He is just trying to promote the game so people keep watching.

Why is Nadal opening up now? Because the Japanese sports magazine Number asked Rafa questions and he answered. Writers of multiple recent English-language articles about Rafa have claimed they have used his long interview with the Japanese magazine (published in October), but I haven't seen any links to the Japanese magazine. Eurosport's article (OP) is also based on that interview with the Japanese magazine, but Eurosport even doesn't cite its source, they obviously read an English-language article somewhere.

his answers sound like he was waiting for someone to ask those questions, as usual he is being very clever by not making such statements until someone asked him........he had the option of giving an encouraging answer instead of putting down the sport like that which has given him so much........he is not bigger than tennis, nobody is.......i see this as a sign of disrespect towards the youngsters.......

my opinion that no one can touch pete in class is only getting stronger by the year........the man was sheer class and always appreciated the sport and its players no matter what styles were played.......

Rafa doesn't need to wait for someone to ask questions. Journalists are constantly in queue to interview him. Everything he says makes headlines. If journalists can't interview him, they often create articles based on his old interviews, as if they are his fresh answers.
Rafa didn't make any 'statements' in his interview with the Japanese magazine, he just expressed his opinion. You are a victim of the misleading title & OP.

It is not your belief that I am doing the Lord's work here?

Nadal is receiving free press courtesy of yours truly.

It is a thankless job.

Of those players Becker referred to, Zverev, Sinner and Alcaraz all play very powerful baseline tennis, very hit-or-miss tennis, not much variety.
Medvedev has more variety but he's stuck to the baseline, so not an all-court player.
Tsitsipas is more all-court, but I don't believe he'll ever be a great player, and doesn't look like winning a slam anytime soon.
So Nadal is absolutely correct.

Is Nadal planning his comeback as a response to Becker's put-downs?

If so, then you've got to figure that tennis is in good stead for the time being. Old folks stoking the flames. For old times' sake. :notworthy:

P.S. What a warrior this dude is! Who beats injury like this? Only Nadal. Since 1986, son. :alien:

Does @octobrina10 have any sense of humor whatsoever? She has singlehandedly probably turned many people who were neutral to Nadal completely against him with her ridiculous posts. Not good for Nadal's fanbase.
I keep wondering why you&your comrades have a selective "sense of humour": it disappears when someone gives aforementioned persons a taste of their own medicine.
