Nadal's 09 year and Federer's 010 year

Has anyone noticed how both years are almost similar?

2009
-Nadal wins AO
-Federer beats him at Madrid
-Nadal loses at the French against Soderling
-Nadal loses his wimbledon title via default/withdrawl
-Drops to #3

2010
-Federer wins AO
-Nadal beats him at Madrid
-Loses at the French against Soderling
-Loses his wimbledon title
-drops to #3

Hey if this pattern continues maybe Federer might go out in the semis at USO and Nadal will make the finals

I don't like this trend, because if this is true Rafa will lose in USO final to some ball bashing clown like Fed did last year. And that's unacceptable.

And Nadal will get fined cussing because his opponent made a late challenge

Nadal didn't lose a match in Wimbledon 2009. He just couldn't play it. Big difference. He also didn't drop to #3 after Wimbledon but after Canada Open (which he had won in 2008). He stayed at #3 for exactly 3 weeks before getting back to #2. Let's see if Fed can match that.

Nadal still lost his title regardless of how he lost it

Hey things are shaping up like they did in 09.

Will Nadal take home a USO title for the first time or will he be denied by Djokovic, who is going for his 2nd slam and the chance to stop being called a 1-slam wonder? Tune in tomorrow for the series finale between the Mighty-Majorcan and the Superb-Serb

The only big difference is Federer should have won the first two sets against del Potro last year in the final. Gifted the second set and the rest was history. Nadal will not be making any gifts for Djokovic this year. If Djokovic has to win it, he will have to play the highest level of tennis for the entire duration of the match.

In that aspect, I have much more confidence in Nadal than Federer. Nadal will be ripping extreme angles and testing Djokovic's fitness severely.

that is if joker would allow it. all he needs to do is to maintain that belief. i haven't seen him hit this well off the ground in a while. even if fed is forcing the issue he was able to respond.

Wow... you actually foresaw it. Nice job

Yes they are strikingly similar. Big difference is that Nadal had lower expectations on him except for the French Open, and also that Nadal was injured in Wimbledon, not defeated.
