Espn covers all of the semis for both men's and women's. Even if ESPN does suck, they show live coverage for ALL time zones unlike NBC. We should be celebrating.
My TV guide shows the same.Where did you hear this? I still see NBC listed for coverage from 12-5 on tennis.com's page.

Big drop for Wimbledon on NBC.
Wimbledon got off to a rough start on NBC over the weekend.
Third and fourth round coverage of Wimbledon drew a 1.1/3 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon, down 35% from a 1.7/5 for comparable coverage in an earlier timeslot last year, and down 31% from a 1.6/5 in '07.
Taped coverage on Sunday drew a 1.0/2, down 41% from a 1.7/4 in '08, and down 29% from a 1.4/4 in '07.
Overall, NBC averaged a 1.1 overnight rating for coverage of Wimbledon on Saturday and Sunday, the net's lowest average for the first weekend of Wimbledon since at least 1998.
well at least NBC doesn't insist on showing that ******** feature of Mary-Jo, Pam "Helmet-Head" Shriver and Mary Carillo demonstrating "Big Babe" Tennis!
Lmao, just when you think that numbers for Tennis can't get any lower...
1.1 and 1.0...That is incredibly terrible. As a comparison, the US Open Golf broadcast was hurt by the rain delays, but they posted a 3.4 Saturday rating and a 4.7 Sunday rating.
Last seasons Wimbledon Men's Final received a 4.6/12 rating, a 43% jump over the previous final in 07. Somehow I see those numbers plummeting this year.

It's because, one, Rafa's injured, two, everyone knows Fed will win, and three, no one outside of Britain cares about the Murray angle. I bet the American ratings would have been high for another Fed/Rafa rematch. If Roddick beats Murray, they might be respectable.
this isn't entirely to do with tennis. NBC is in the shi tter right now, there ratings are terrible constantly.

Well...Heroes, The Office and the Tonight Show are all ratings leaders, and Leno's new 10pm show will be a big ratings gatherer as well.
I agree that NBC is struggling overall, but they have some of the brightest spots (ratings wise) on all of television.
uhh I don't know about that. Office isn't on currently, Heroes has almost been canceled several times, Tonight Show is no longer the #1 in its time slot (though I love Conan much more than Leno) and NBC is the least watched channel; a few weeks ago they didn't place a show in the top 20 on one of the week nights. that's including Fox.
They banned the right match. What a borefest.NBC has announced that they will show the Federer-Karlovic QF match, which means that ESPN will probably be banned from showing that match live so that NBC can show it on tape delay well after it's over since that's the first match on Centre Court tomorrow.

Um....NBC has the first right to choose any match they want to show over ESPN and they chose the Federer-Karlovic match. That means they expect bigger ratings for this match than any of the other 3 matches. :-?They banned the right match. What a borefest.
NBC mentioned it during their broadcast of the women's quarters today.Where did they announce this? (Just curious if this information is available online somewhere.)

Slightly off topic. Tennis as a fan's game is in deep trouble, and I do believe the best metric, and possibly the only metric that matters, is TV ratings.
Tennis will fall into oblivion over time if steps are not taken to address this.
I have some rather radical thoughts on this, all going against the sacred tennis traditions. But simply put, I think tennis matches are simply way way too long, and bores the heck of most people watching it, except for the few die hard fans.
You can blame that on all their lame players. As long as there are streams, I'm good.Nonsense. TV ratings in America will not decide the future of tennis. TV ratings in all other countries are very good and overall tennis is keeping very solid in revenue. Yes, tennis in America is dying. But so what???

We got Wayne Odesnik but he definitely doesn't have the talent to go far in the future. Why does US keep churning out serve-only machines(Querrey, Isner) or ball-bashing brainless idiots(Roddick, Blake)? When is the last time an American tennis academy turned out a true all-courter?
