New frames this summer/fall?

So what new frames are expected to come out this summer/fall. I've heard talks about a new Yonex Ezone frame coming out as well as a new Countervail version of the ProStaff. Both of these sound interesting to me and worth a look. Does anyone have any information on either one? Or perhaps know of any other new frame projected to come out yet this year?

There's the Wilson ProStaff 97 Countervail, unless that project was shelved. EDIT: Welp, I should really read posts in full. Unstrung specs on the cardboard: 315g, 10 pts HL, 16*19, 626cm² (97in²) headsize. It's black, like the RF. "Countervail" seems to be printed in red in the throat.

New models or new paint jobs like the DR98 blue? The list of techno enhancements the EZONE DR line has is really long. I wonder what else they're going to add.

We don't really know yet, but the the teaser video shows a racquet with 16x18 pattern.

Are you saying that the ProStaff CV will have an unstrung static weight of 351? That's insane! There's no possible way that's correct. That would mean it would weight about 366 strung! It would be the heaviest racquet ever produced.

Similar reaction here; hoping there is a typo in the unstrung weight

I edited the post accordingly. Although I'm pretty sure the [K]Pro Staff 88 was that about that heavy.

EDIT: Yes it sure was.

CounterVail or not, I'm pretty sure such a weight would dampen vibrations pretty damn well.

Such a small racket head is great for whipping through the air for fast serves with pinpoint accuracy, but it's a crutch for ground strokes because there's hardly any margin for error.

315 sounds more like it. :) Did you see a picture of it or something? I'd love to catch a glimpse of it.

do they ever stop coming out with new frames?
as we know, every year they are just so much better, love the smell of new paint, they will make you play better, you become so more popular and they are pretty cheap too!
sell that older frame now ..fast....and get in line.......

Sounds like @TennisManiac had a weird freak out session over an obvious typo. There are some whackos out there

CV will dampen vibrations but it will not be a good thing for the Pro Staff. I'm still not sold that it was ever a good idea for a tennis racquet.

How was I supposed to know he made a typo? And why would acting shocked about it make me a whacko? For you to come on here and say something like that makes you a complete jack ass imo. :p

Mind sharing this video?

I hope 16x18 pattern isnt for the new DR. The DR98 has been working so well for its users (or so I sense from TT and around my city), I'd be surprised they'd make drastic changes to it beyond a new paintjob and adding 20 more "technologies". 16x19 to 16x18 could be drastic enough to prevent current DR98 fans from upgrading.

Phantom, it seems it's already available on TW Europe:

Phantom with ports is 56 RA and could be too soft for some users. Options are limited with using lead because there's no good place to put it. Under the bumper guard isn't always the best location. Using more powerful strings may be the only good option, but at the cost control.

I think Prince missed the mark with this one. I don't see much of a market for it. They're better off promoting the Phantom Pro with 16x19 string pattern instead as that's what the main complaint with TT 100P users had who didn't like the dense string pattern. I'm one of them.

It was about time Prince continued this line for the lovers of these frames.
I played 2 years with the Ferrer O3 and loved it. Just this year I switched to the Pure Strike.
Indeed if you want to customize the Prince frames, it might be difficult...I played with the stock specs.

an 18 20 Ezone 98 racquet would be the best

My demand for a DR98 18x20 would be absolute. Seems like a dream racquet bc the 16x19 has too much power for me. Of course, the Ultra Tour has me chomping at the bit.
