Let it be Zverev or Medvedev.
Although, how cool would it be to have Shapo winning something after Djokovic / Nadal dominnace?
Perhaps some kids would start learning how to hit winners as opposed to wait mistakes.
Zverev is going to have to work on his game quite a bit and that's before fixing his obvious mental issues. I think Medvedev has a champion's mentality but I see him peaking as a M1000 winner, not a Grand Slam winner. Perhaps he'll prove me wrong on that.
Thiem or Tsistsipas
Zverev needs to fix his forehand if he wants to win something big

he already won Masters 1000
and if my memory works well, he has one of the fastest average rally forehands out there...

Yeah, he did win 3 masters and the Masters Cup.
However, he rarely takes the ball down the line and his forehand is loopy.
I watched him lose to Coric at the USO 2 yrs ago and his refusal to go down the line or hit the ball slightly flatter was the reason he lost. Yeah, he's improved since then, but I don't think he's improved enough to win something big - like a Slam - which is what this topic is about
Not to mention the mental issues he's having - I don't see him being the chosen one as people have predicted. I think Felix and Tsitsipas will have better careers at the end of all of their runs.
watch it be someone older that takes advantage and not next gen
Actually the least talented by a considerable margin. He has no volley, no court sense, no ability to construct a point and his serve is anemic considering his height. FAA has a ton more natural ability.Sascha Zverev.
He's the most talented guy among NextGen players.
Until the younger generation proves they can win slams, i'm still picking the likes of Murray, Wawrinka, Cilic etc ahead of them.
Phillip Kohlschreiber
In retrospect one has to praise what Thiem did against Novak at the French. Incredible performance against the most clutch player around. Watching it I was 100% sure he would choke it away.Hopefully Thiem can save tennis and take Djoker out at USO.
