I have a friend whose kid has ADHD and he was put on meds and according to her it changed his mentallity, concentration and focus. Even though his behavior changed for the better, she claims his personality and uniqueness is gone, not entirely sure what she means by this though.

I know what she means. Same with my dd, her adhd makes her vivacious, social, also impulsive, but just so full of life. But, can't do school work, messes things up... meds dull her personality.

You are correct. Norepinephrine also plays a role in mood/personality.
