OK, i am confused. What is up with Alex Clayton as of late ?? He went down today to some guy named Matthews from UC-Irvine, 6-3 7-6. While all his team-mates won with blow out score. Not sure if he is injured or just a confidence issue.

Oh and as far as Pac-10 goes, i expect Stanford men's team to finish in the 3rd spot this year behind USC and UCLA.

What? You don't know? My guess is he's either injured, burned out or both. For his sake I hope it's only an injury. But if that was the case I would think coach would rest him for a week or so. Normally I would crack on you and Clayton but in this case I am a little concerned for his tennis future. No joking matter.

Oh yea, you can't see my post any way so why am I wasting my time????????

I would recommend that Coach rest Alex Clayton for next 2 weeks. Only doubles for Alex for next couple weeks. then he should be ready for the Pac-10 tournament and NCAA.

NO, definitely not this year. but he is the most talented player on the team. He actually has more tennis talent than Bradley Klahn. but Klahn is more of a consistant performer. Alex is completely off rhythm mentally.

Whoa, Fedace, are you feeling ok? 3rd spot in the Pac-10? Are you sure you picked up the right meds? And, is that Clayton in your avatar? Try putting something else in your avatar for a couple of weeks and see if the curse on Clayton will lift. It is worth a try, yes?

Comon Feddie and try changing your avatars and just put the tree in there or some other non-Stanford player pic. What do you have to lose, Stanford and Alex winning more?

Klahn seems like he moves the ball a lot better than Alex IMO. Plays the angles of the court way better. But I agree with you. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year forsure

Alex just has to use his HUGE serve and very big forehand to his advantage. I'm sure he is better then Klahn, but just has taken a mental break... Did that bad loss at Sherwood knock him in to this?

Matthews, for your understandings is a tough player. He finished top 10 in the 18s, and I believe he turned downed scholarships to stay local. Oscar Fabian Matthews is his full name.

Ok then why is he playing #2 singles in a a mediocre program ?

Matthews was #1 his freshmen year, then split #1/#2 this year. Anyways, if you want to question anyone's ability... here's something to look at.

List of CIF high school individual champions for past 8 years.

2002 Chris Surapol Whitney (played 3 for UCLA)
2003 Gary Sacks Calabasas (played 4 for USC)
2004 Kaes Van't Hof Mater Dei (played 2 for USC)
2005 Michael McClune Woodbridge (went pro)
2006 Steve Johnson Orange (plays 2 for USC and owns Alex Clayton)
2007 Steve Johnson Orange (same as above)
2008 Fabian Matthews Corona del Mar (plays 1 and 2 for UCI)
2009 Clay Thompson Crossroads (will be playing for UCLA in the fall '10)
