Patrick Mouratoglou: Djoker Has Not Lost A Match In 2020.

Close your eyes.
Try to imagine PCB 50 years from now telling his grandkids, "I beat Djoker at the USO".
Can you picture that scene ever happening?
Neither can we.

1. Yes I can picture PCB telling this story
2. Who are "we"? you and the voices in your head?

And why would Mouratoglou's opinion matter? This guy has no authority on this matter, and I frankly don't understand why the media gives him so much attention.

Yes, it was. How can you argue against official rules? If you want to change them, ask ATP. Until then I will follow the official rules, not the tears of a Djokovic fanboy.
????????????????

You're talking to one of the biggest fans of Nadal. I think you're mad at the wrong person. ;)

To the point - when you have the authority you get the attention. Whether you understand it or not.

He is undefeated, sure, he is also not the US Open champion. I wonder which is more important/meaningful?

it's a loss in theory.

however, patrick means nobody actually beats him. the rules (and USO organizers) beat him. obviously he's right.

You are confusing Mouratoglou’s authority as a tennis coach (which he has) with the authority that he doesn’t have as a tennis expert. In my opinion, he gets attention from the media because he puts himself out there a lot. Marketing is not correlated with knowledge in tennis.

You all are too funny. Whether Djokovic hasn't lost a match this year or has lost a match this year, so what.

It is a very real loss. The rules are there to regulate the competition. If he couldn't stick to them, so that he could keep playing, he failed at competing.

That is actually what happened: he got angry because his opponent not only refused to fade away, but actually took the lead in the match.

As a Djokovic fan I just want him to play well at french open this year. I will be happy with a deep run. He’s not the favourite to win it. It could be thiem time this year.

Even if he wasnt undefeated, it doesnt mean he was a shoe in for the US open title. Djokovic fanboys have quite the imagination. He didnt win it...whether he defaulted or lost by being beaten. Get over it.

As long as he doesn't win more Majors, his "unbeaten" mark doesn't matter to me.
:notworthy:

Djokovic did lose a match. As a Djokovic fan I accept this. Novak accepts it as well. Nothing more to it. Busta was the better player and winning before it happened. There is no complaints from me.

Okay, let's discuss. Novak was DQ'ed and statistically it's a loss, L in the column and his opponent progressed. M was speaking as a coach in regards to Novak's chances in this years RG and from his POV that was not a loss due to a bad day, lousy tactics or inferior stamina etc but due to unrelated reasons for his analysis.

Can we possibly agree on this ?

Yuuuup, done and dusted. The mighty PCB would have served out for the first set and as per his usual level, routinely bring the match to a close by taking a couple more easy sets to dispatch the world #1 as he did .... never.

We certainly can. Djokovic has not been defeated by another tennis player this season. His chances of taking this title are quite high, in my opinion.

If you look at the reason why he ended up being disqualified, you could probably find a couple of the reasons you mentioned strictly related to his tennis that were actually presented. Unless one wants to believe that Djokovic got angry to the point of forgetting where he is just like that.

I would disagree about his chances honestly but let's watch. He's on tomorrow.

He is the coach of the world's top players. By definition that makes him a tennis expert.

ESPN cameras cut away to this guy after every point even though he always has that same boring look on his face. Nobody gets more TV time than him.

Coaching career (1999–)
Marcos Baghdatis (1999–2006)
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (2007–2009)
Aravane Rezaï (2009–2010)
Yanina Wickmayer (2009–2012)
Laura Robson (2010–2011)
Jérémy Chardy (2012)
Grigor Dimitrov (2012)
Serena Williams (2012–)
Stefanos Tsitsipas (2018–)
Coco Gauff (2018–)

He founded the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in 1996 near Paris (later relocated to the outskirts of Nice), and has coached many up-and-coming players, including Marcos Baghdatis (whom he coached to the final of the 2006 Australian Open), Julia Vakulenko, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Aravane Rezaï, Jérémy Chardy, Laura Robson, Yanina Wickmayer and Grigor Dimitrov.

I had no idea he was coaching Gauff. When did this happen?

Patrick really thinks highly of himself. Others see him as someone who cheated on his familty and cheated at wimbledon.

2018 next to her name should of given it away...

It did but there were 365 days in 2018 if you catch my drift.

Patrick Mouratoglou picks Djoker to win Roland Garros :
"He did not lose a match this year
(I do not count his disqualification at the US Open as a loss).
He is a great clay-court player, beat Nadal many times on clay, and the conditions this year are extremely difficult for Rafa -- plus he lacks competition."
Everyone else will be counting it.:sneaky::-D:-D:-D

It's not a competitive loss, but it's an official loss.

Hamilton got two 5 second penalties, and he is pretty sure officials are being over-zealous when it comes to him and his car.

He lost a Grand Prix because of it, according to him.
