2 custom mizuno lendl models with the broken guts and inner hoop lead the way Ivan liked them. Notice the diffs in the head sizes from the standard model. Ofcourse Ivan also played suede rather than leather and both of those custom racktets are wrapped slightly diff, longer suede on the right model. Dont think it was wrapped by Bosworth. Also looks like diff string patterns on the custom rackets ? Where is the saw dust :) Any chance you also have some of Bjorns weapons ?

The one at the right is a repaint of his old Kneisll/Adidas racquet.
Yes, and if I recall, the one on the far left was the redesigned model which was meant to help Ivan volley better on fast courts. I think the one in the centre was the 'consumer' model.

The suede grip is soo nice.
Sure wish I could find a source for those grips.
Wonder where TW got those grips they put on the Bosworth lendl's ?
Maybe they were just on Bosworth stock ?
IIRC, they were made in Italy by Linea Zeta. Bosworth & Co. probably bought (or commissioned) a crate of them at some point after IL decided those were the thing to have.

Yes, the 2 on each side are Bosworth Lendl's:)

Sawdust showing on photo above!

Really nice to have, but I wish I could get one of Jimmy's racquets though.

It wasn't a competition, but I han't spotted that the 2 Bosworth racquets don't have I.L letters in red!

Yeah, the centre one was the standard retail 90 sqin version, Lendl used a Bosworth customised version of this at Wimbledon in early 90's and won the Stella Artois grass tournament with it:)

The one on the left is the really interesting one:twisted:

This is a Bosworth test racquet that Lendl used, but I don't think he ever used this mold in competition, I think it's extremely rare! Have been trying to find out more, so if anyone knows more I'd really like to know:shock:

When were TW selling Bosworth Lendl's?

Were they the Adidas GTX PRO-T paint or the Mizuno?

And did they all come with these brown/suede grips?

AFAIK they were the Adidas sticks. I'm trying to find the right page on the Wayback machine.

TW sold a bunch of the GTX ProTs that were customized by Bosworth for Ivan upto the point of adding the suede grips. I got a few of them and sold all but one that is currently in my collection now. Before they were used by Ivan, they would just be leaded and strung.

Wow, I guess this happened a few years ago before I found this website!

The Wayback Machine is a website which holds all sorts of stuff that's hard to find anywhere else. For instance, you could find old T-W threads that don't exist here anymore. :)

I've found out that the Mizuno Lendl on the left in the photo is called an E-10, and is a prototype only used by Lendl in practice apparently!

Yep, I bought two and gave one to a pro I was working with at the time (he gave me 3 'free' lessons).

The suede grips are awesome and the frame itself ia a great hit. Plenty powerful.

I remember TW probably regretted selling those Lendl's for $120 each. I was lucky, they were out the first day I think.

Rabbit.....do you actually use these frames, or do you mount a collection for viewing?

I played with the retail version that Ivan used at Queens, as did many ex-Kneissl players, but no one really liked it. Unfortunately, we had no choice, because Puma was out of the US market, and Volkl was not here yet. It had a definite negative affect on my ability to keep-up with my players whenever I had to work them out on the road.

Great Racquets, i still play with the Gtx and White Star, love the boomstick.
I'm jealous for the first time in my life,
would really like a small-headed one myself.
Any chance you could mail me some more pictures of these racquets?

Nice.............I did miss that one, must have been a week or two ago?

Anyway...happy with the Fischer's?

Very much so, although i'm nearing that razor edge where the wife will put her foot down on anymore frames.

Time to sell some extraneous bagage and focus on specific brands, like Fischer.

Can I buy the one on the right? I’ve never even seen one in person. I have the one on the left (I’m sure Lendls was different) and I have a Kneissl and Adidas but not this Mizuno (I know it’s the same as Kneissl and Adidas with mizuno paint job).
