PK KI Q15 (310) - Arm Friendly?

Pro Kennex recently came out with a new racquet.
It's the Ki Q15(310). It has a 105 inch head size.
(There are other versions of the Q15 with lighter weight).
TW describes it as an arm friendly racquet.
Yet TW's stiffness rating is 72 for this Ki Q15(310) racquet.
Can a racquet with that high a stiffness rating be arm friendly?
I know Pro Kennex uses special technology to be arm friendly,
but still I wonder about this.
Also, can anyone recommend another 105 inch racquet with some pop that is arm friendly?

I use the PK Ki 15 with soft strings. Head size 105 and weight 260. I would say medium power.
Arm friendly is what I was after.

I've learned over the years that RA rating can be very misleading. My Pro Staff 6.1 95's (all versions) always rated above 64,hell the Classic is listed at 70 plus, and yet they all feel perfectly comfy. Then I've used some sticks listed under 64 that felt like hollow stiff crap!

I'd say you have to demo to truly know.

I haven't tried any of these 105 inch racquets but:

Do you mean the PK Ionic KI15 260? That racquet seems pretty good from the description.
A little light though at 10.2 strung, so I guess you probably add a good amount of lead tape.

Or do you mean the Ki Q15 (260). That's too light at 9.8 ounces strung.

The first one (PK Ionic KI15 260) sounds interesting. TW lists it as medium power, which is what I want.
I might demo that and also the brand new Ki Q15(310).

Still curious to know if the brand new Ki Q15(310), with a stiffness rating of 72, is too stiff.
Hope someone has tried it. I have a history of tennis elbow.

By the way, you can't always tell about arm problems by doing demos.
I did a demo of another 105 inch racquet, but not one from Pro Kennex.
It also has medium power, which I like. It has a TW stiffness rating of 68, which is average I believe.
I tried it several times over a week, no arm problems, and it didn't feel stiff.
It felt very comfortable and smooth. Of course I made I sure the demo had soft strings.
Then I bought it. It was fine for a couple of days after I bought it. I started having elbow
problems on the third day after I bought it, and have had elbow problems since.
But I had no arm problems the week I did a demo of it.
So you can't always tell about elbow pain by doing a demo.

Yes, PKs are very arm friendly. They absorb a lot of the impact and vibration so it is not transmitted to your arm.

Hey JH, I am playing with the KI 15 260, the other is the Q15 which I believe comes in the same weight 260 grams or I think 300 grams. If you are going try or buy a Q15, I would like to get your feedback.

Hi Steve:

I assume you are using the PK Ionic Ki15 (260). Please let me know if I'm wrong.

I will probably demo both your racquet and the brand new PK Ki Q15 (310), which is much heavier. I don't think I'll demo the other Ki Q15 models.
I probably won't demo the PK KI Q15 (260) because it's too light, at 9.8 ounces strung.
Nor will I demo the PK KI Q15 (280), because I think it may be too powerful,
as TW rated it "medium high" power. I prefer "medium" rated power.
So I think that the Ki Q15 (310) would probably be the only Ki Q15 I demo.
But I most likely will not demo them until the first half of next year, after the rainy season,
maybe in the Spring.

I just noticed that the PK Ki Q15(310) has a swingweight of 328. That's pretty high,
so it might not be very maneuverable when playing doubles.

By the way, anyone have info about another 105 inch racquet, the old Prince Red?
Too stiff?
