What will Rogi's schedule be the rest of this season, knowing what you know now after Wimbledon?

Tokyo is in 2 weeks, and he is in bad shape. He will skip it. Cincy, USO and then ending the season.

Can't see him skipping Tokyo. If he wants to continue improving on his journey back from the injuries, he needs:
- Better fitness
- Better movement
- More consistent shot making

All this doesn't come with more practice. He needs more match play.

It just doesn't make sense for him to stop here and pick up again before the USO. Would defeat the purpose of his comeback, he's probably the brightest player on tour and wouldn't have done all this to stop here.

I agree. This is his last chance at playing in the Olympics and getting a singles gold medal. Plus, with his primary sponsorship with Uniqlo, a Japanese company, there is going to be a lot of pressure to play in Tokyo. In addition, all of the Olympic matches are best of three sets this time around and other top players are skipping, so this will be like an ATP 500 event. I'd be surprised if he decided not to play there.

After the Olympics, I bet he plays Cincinnati since he usually does well there, then the US Open and the Laver Cup. After that is a total guess. I can't see him going to China for the Shanghai M1000, but maybe he'll do Indian Wells because he likes the desert climate. The Paris M1000 makes sense after that, but who knows about anything else this season. I honestly think he's 50/50 about playing in 2022 and it all depends on his body, results, and motivation after this next 5 months.

Its not about match practise. He needs better fitnesse and hes going to get it resting first. He already played enough tennis since Doha. Also, as the time pases, you can only get better after coming back, but his match against HH was sigh of tiredness, not lack of matches. He needs to reset mentally and improve endurance. Not sure if that is possible in his age. Thats why he is skipping Tokyo, but if somehow he goes there, he will regret it.

Basically he doesn't have time for extended training blocks. So I think he just recovers from Wimbly, then goes to Tokyo, USO, and then reasses his career afterwards.

Just my personal opinion, but I expect him to pull out of Tokyo any day now. Lot of people disagree with me and think he's going, though, just looking at the poll.

Olympics is going to have no spectators due to a covid resurgence. I expect Roger will pull out to avoid the risk.
No family allowed, either. The reason Serena isn't going, at least the reason that people are postulating as to why she isn't going. I wonder if Roger is willing to part from his family again for another week and a half in Tokyo.
