Post Pictures of your Racquets and Tennis Gear

I don't have such a thing as a current racquet. I've played 10 sets since I got back to tennis earlier this spring, with 10 different racquets. Not great for consistency, but a great way to enjoy my collection.

I do the same thing: I play each time with a different one from my collection (137 rackets).
Obviously bad for the game level but a lot of fun.
To compete logically I use well-proven models.

€30 per racket, that's really cheap
Many hours in front of the pc and a lot of luck.
For example in 2018 I purchased a batch of 26 new rackets with plastic on the handle and original covers for 750€. All grip 4 3/8.

Just arrived today!! Replaced the old leather with Head Finest Calfskin and Head Xtreme Track Overwrap. Looking forward to trying it out next week!!

Beautiful paint job and plays amazing, best mid I have ever used and have 4 of these that I take out to hit for fun, not my main playing frame these days but still can play with it.

Tried some shadow swings yesterday and for some reason it feels so much more "dense" (in a godd way) than my other rackets even if its weight is same-ish or even lower from some. Really looking forward to next week playing with it in an actual court!

From earlier above, isolation shots on the vintage-ish Prince 100 Graphite classic and certified vintage Legend XL constant beam

And .... I haven't hit with EITHER of them, thanks to you people who supported this pandemic <growls>.

p.s. the black Rip Control / OGSM noir combo looks killer. I would do it again just for looks.

Yesterday I got around to regripping my remaining TFight 315 Xtc Ltd 18x20 that didn't have leather yet on it. Used the standard HEAD Tour leather¹ not stretched too firmly. (It's a size 2 so in any case I'll have two OGs on it when I'm done.)

String job is Multifeel black in 17g crossed with Dunlop S-Gut 17g in white ... yet to be hit with <thank you pandemic>.

[And the red paint isn't faded; we all see how often red trim is "wrong" in other pics, so I didn't try too hard to solve that issue.]

¹– I'm not committed to any particular leather yet; I typically pick up a few of any brand I've used before whenever I see them on sale.

Here is My Precious — a cherry HEAD MIA i.Prestige Mid Plus purchased new for myself when this was the current issue.

While I was out of the game I still always kept one good frame strung up and one good pair of shoes at the ready if something came up. I just so happened to pull the trigger at a good time in the historical arc of the Prestige line when I replaced the racquet that came before it.

/* click for fullsize */

And yeap, it's strung with Ashaway Kevlar (Crossfire ZX 17) at 45/50 lbs (the throat sticker tells all). I would probably drop it a couple of kilos next time, but it still plays hits plenty good.

Since joining TT and finding out this frame is "a classic" I didn't want to be restringing it too much so I figured Kevlar would help with that. Now I'm a pretty big fan of Kevlar, but that's a whole 'nutha discussion.

It is beyond me how some people keep all sort of racquets in their collection. Different headsizes, different lengths, different string patterns, different weights.

It just makes no sense to me. When I moved from 27 inch to 28 inch everything was completely different and it took me a while to make the change, though I kept all the other specs perfectly identical.

Maybe it is a big house, large family and everyone is playing. So there are about 3 elderly players (60+ years old), 4 adults, around 40 years old (30-50) and 3 adults between 20-30 years old.
Otherwise it is completely bonkers to me. It is banana.
