Predict Slam winners for 2016

After 2013 lots of people here thought Nadal would do a CYGS but he didn't come anywhere close, so I think you're miles off.

AO: Murray
FO: Nishikori
W: Djokovic
USO: Raonic

Probably Novak all the way through.

I could see him losing in the US Open semi or final to Fed, Waw or Nishi with the pressure weighing him down.

Oh man, with all those previous prediction threads where majority got most of their predictions horribly wrong, I am getting worried now that the majority are predicting Novak to win FO. Please change to someone else. :D

Very true. No one seems to see when the tides change.

I don't know but I think Djokovic will lose at AO16 but if not, he will probably win 2 slams minimum with great chances to win 3 slams again for the 3rd time.

I think Djokovic will struggle next year. Very few players have backed up great seasons, most capitulate. McEnroe never won a Major again after 1984, Wilander never did after 1988, Djokovic struggled after 2011, Nadal similarly after 2010 and 2013, history shows Djokovic will do well to win one Major next season. Federer is not likely to win a Major as his stamina is an issue and the Olympics will be on clay so Djokovic or Nadal wil lwin but thre sets favours Djokovic.

Nadal is hungry for AO, it is a surface he feels suits his game and if he wins will have the Double CGS which is a big achievement. FO he starts huge favourite even if at 70% of his best. After May though expect Murray to dominate. Murray the best grass court player over 5 sets (unless he meets a Federer rolling back the clock) and i think USO is a tournament he may go on and win a couple more

Murray never won AO, Nishikori and Raonic never won a slam. If predicting another multislam season for Djokovic is miles off, then what will your prediction be? Delusional.

RĢ- NADAL
W- a surprise winner
USO - MURRAY

OLYMPICS MIXED - HINGIS & FEDERER (fingers crossed)

You cant compare Macenroe to Novak. Novak has been largely unstoppable for the last 4 years and is showing no signs of declining. Only Murray and Nadal were able to stop him a few years ago. What you have to look at is who can stop him now? Federer has been his closest threat this year but Djokovic clearly will always have the mental edge over him in slam match ups and Federer will be another year older so it would seem doubtful that he could challenge in the same way he did this year.

Who else is there? Murray and Nadal are finished in terms of the level required to stop Djokovic. The only other player who could do it is possibly Wawrinka. The rest of the field are simply not good enough.

US Open : Nishikori

AO: Nadal
FO: Nadal
W: Murray
USO: Federer

Olympic Gold: Djokovic

The form Nadal has shown indoors where he has thrashed wawrinka and Murray suggests he will be unstoppable in conditions that suit his game. With Djokovic bound to struggle to replicate this year Nadal has the greatest opportunity to get to 17 Majors. However I think Federer is too great to end his career a loser and I've a feeling he will get his 18th Major and that will be how it ends, federer on18 and Nadal on 16 and the GOAT debate will go on eternally! As for djokovic time will tell how much 2015 took out of him.

Nadal just hammered wawrinka on a court that favours wawrinka? Murray is hard to fathom as Davis cup has been his priority. Nadal and Murray both well capable of hurting Djokovic in conditions they like best. Nadal and Murray are both very upbeat about next year . Federer is the one who has suffered this year and how he regroups will be the story of 2016 but I think he will win USO a as he is that legendary his career is destined to finish on a high

Djokovic has not been unstoppable at all apart from 2015 and 2011. He has yet to match Nadal or Federer in terms of consecutive years winning majors and is behind both in terms of multi slam winning seasons. Djokovic has had two amazing years . Take those two seasons out of the equation though and his career is one of huge under achievement given his talent. Talent wise he is right there with Sampras and Federer. But his resume does not reflect that talent. Hopefully it will do eventually as he is a very likeable guy but time is not on his side

It all comes down to whether Stan can peak at majors, and whether Rafa can get back upto his peak form, and whether that will be enough to challenge the latest Djokovic level. There isn't anyone else that can challenge him. If Djokovic wins RG, there won't be anyone stopping him from the CY GS.

Stanimal Golden Slam. ...Or maybe just Wimbledon. He wants it, and it is time.

As for the other slams:
AO - Djokovic (or Wawrinka, since they're fated to meet if Stan plays well: 4R -> QF -> SF -> final??)
RG - Hoping for Djokovic, but would not begrudge Nadal coming back in style.
USO - Someone unexpected, I think. Hopefully a true "young gun," like Zverev or Chung.

I always predict with my heart, not my mind.

DjokoStan is turning into a better love story than Fedal. :D
Them two winning all 4 Slams again, if Djokovic takes the French Open, would be perfect to me. :)

Haha, I hope we see many more chapters of this love story. Djokovic has singled out Stan as his "special" friend on tour.

Another DjokoStan CYGS, just like this year but switching a few slams around. That would be beautiful. ;)

AO: Fed or Murray (finally)
FO: Djokovic
Wimbledon: Murray
US: Djokovic
Olympics: Djokovic

Djokovic will not let this FO and Olympics slip away, and Fed will again lose in his hunt for Gold. He may make it to the final, but will likely lose there to Djokovic.

The tennis in Rio is going to be played on a fast, indoor hard court! Good news for Roger and Nole.
