Interesting how in a matter of just few weeks this person formerly known as a choker worst #2 ever good for nothing Mugray has transformed into a gift from heaven, chosen to prevent Djokovic from reaching the untouchable #17 record.

These threads are always stupid without the benefit of seeing the draws first.
This year especially with Federer (5th set Wimby fall) and Nadal's games up in the air a bit. Even with the draw some of these will be hard. Even Raonic is hard to predict because he got destroyed on similar hard courts earlier this year, but alleged injury issues cloud those results.

Toronto - Nadal/Murray, if Nadal skips Toronto
Cincinnati - Nadal
Olympics - Nadal
US Open - Nadal
Beijing - Berdych
Shanghai - Murray
Paris - Nadal
World Tour Finals - Nadal
Davis Cup - Murray
So this is the legendary NSK that I've heard so much about. And I though T_C was delusional.

What happened in Wimbly doesn't effect my logical choices of Joker everything and Serena from here on out.

What do I want? Murray..Bouchard..but that aint happening. If not then Virgin slam winners..doesn't matter who..give me some US Open cherry popping debuts.

Toronto - Murray (confidence will be high)
Olympics - Djokovic (has to enter as favourite)
Cincinnati - Federer (one last time...might need a bit of luck though)
USO - Djokovic (while favouring Djokovic I think a Djokovic v Murray would be very interesting)
Shanghai - Tsonga (will probably be Djokovic but be nice to see someone different and Tsonga has performed well here)
Paris - Raonic (again will probably be Djokovic but Raonic has had some success here)
WTF - Murray (home crowd will get him over the line against Djokovic - giving him clean sweep of 2016 London titles)

These threads are always stupid without the benefit of seeing the draws first.

Not sure how draw is meant to assist in picking overall winner...yes it will affect possible match ups throughout the tournament and may be a determining factor as to likelihood of a particular player reaching a certain stage of tournament but picking the winner is assuming they can defeat everyone in draw.

I just love the blind optimism of some people here! Federer? Nadal? Del Potro? They don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of coming near a win.

It's boring putting Djokovic's name behind every tournament. And it won't happen, either. When anyone else than Djokovic was suggested as possible winner of Wimbledon, the LOLs were massive. And then he lost in R3 to a journeyman

I didn't say I'd put Djokovic's name behind every tournament.

But I don't see Federer, Nadal or Del Potro winning slams in the future. For the slams and WTF I don't see past Djokovic or Murray. For the Olympics, I can see someone from left field coming through to win. For the Masters, again I see Djokovic and Murray cleaning up with, perhaps, the exception of Paris; always the outlier as most don't take it seriously being close to the WTF and everyone is knackered or injured etc.

Did you see Wawrinka winning AO14 or RG15? Did you see Cilic winning US14?

Nadal is wishful thinking, Federer too. Del Potro is getting another slam, I think.

Murray had the easiest GS draw of all time, and now he is cleaning up with Djoko?

Still think that Djokovic is the favourite for every tournament but The Real Slam(TM) and maybe Roger's Cup

In answer to your questions:

Yes. Outliers.
Yes. An outlier.
Yes. Djokovic and Murray are by far the most consistent and gifted players on tour. They are virtually always there or thereabouts at the business end of slams.

Del Potro is not winning another slam.

Cincinnati head, US Open heart.
Cincinnati's a good shout. Federer always does well there. I have a feeling the US open will be either Djokovic or Wawrinka.

It would be nice if Federer wins something this year even it was just Basle. I read somewhere that Federer has won at least one title for 16 consecutive years which is incredible :):):)

Yeah it would be, but all good things must come to an end. This just hasn't been his year. What would probably be better for him is to just play out this year without too much stress and avoid injury as much as possible. His 2014 and 2015 seasons must have taken a large toll on his body considering his win-loss records and his age. Take it easy this year and try for one more solid season in 2017 when his body has (hopefully) recovered.

In any case, for a more serious prediction, I'd assume Djokovic and Murray will share the main trophies. Murray must have a lot of confidence now. However, I don't think he'll just start beating Djokovic all the time. I think things are also going to depend on how motivated Djokovic is. He has achieved basically everything now aside from certain records. I have a feeling Murray can now get a few wins due to Djokovic being slightly less sharp against him compared to all the finals they've played in the past year and a half. I also feel like Raonic should win one remaining Masters title now, maybe Paris in november.

I agree with most of what you said. Over the next few years Djokovic and Murray will be the top two and winning most of the slams and Masters. I would put Wawrinka as 2nd favourite for the US open because Murray tends to get upset at that tournament quite a lot.

Yeah, any title at this stage would mean a lot!

I don't see Wawrinka winning US Open. Maybe to the semi but not further. The surface, I believe, is too fast for him. Right now the main favourites are Djokovic, then Murray and then Federer in my opinion. For the US Open that is.

Don't see Federer winning Cincy the week after the Olympics and only 7 days before the US Open. In fact the scheduling will probably contribute to the ranking fall he will have.

Everything except Paris. I think Nole will go for the three-peat there. But yes, otherwise Stan will win it there.
