Pro Coaches pay ?

Irrefutable

How much do pro players pay the coaches that travel with them? Is it a percentage of winnings?

Obviously, every coach is not paid the same but is there a generally accepted fee, or range of fees?

Uncle Toni got a share of profit from Rafa's father's business. That was their arrangement.
Don't know about others.

According to Agassi, his payment of coaching Novak was "for the betterness of tennis" (i.e, nothing) which I find hard to believe but given the spurious nature of their relationship and severely limited amount of coaching weeks together, it may well be true!

Pat Cash and Greg Rusedski split up very quickly after the former demanded 10% of Rusedski's future earnings.

Coaches who coach big named players get sweeter deals these days cause the big players make more money off the court than on.

I hear these days coaches can get their own apparel deals with the company that their players endorse

This applies to top players obvs.

Also, aside from any fee, the players pay for their coach's travel and accommodation

Well, coaches are shown on TV a lot sitting in the box. So that type of pseudo advertising is worth something.

Significant others should get in on this as a girlfriend showing some skin tends to get a lot of tv exposure.

I also saw a coach ride in economy or coach. Saw this with James Blakes coach back in the day and he rode in business.

Agassi tossed Djokovic for not tipping enough. It is easier to tolerate disagreements when one is compensated well.

Ever since Agassi offered his "services" to Djoko for free, I was suspicious about possible motives with Andre, so financial compensation never was even close to being an issue.

Like many observers I did notice that with each passing month with Nole and Andre talking by phone or skype __DAILY__, that Nole went from still pretty good to average to bad to not even being a shadow of his former self, including a rash decision pro surgery after 6 months of careful revalidation and allowing the tissue to heal.

Did not see Agassi attending any Nole match since Jan 2018. Extremely weird, all this.

There needs to be a sequel to 'Open' with all the inside info on this coaching adventure.

lendl 700k per year plus bonuses, but it was paid by British tennis organization

Brad Gilbert was paid £750k to coach Murray 40 weeks a year, which lasted sixteen months, so Gilbert got £1million from the LTA to coach Andy, he then stayed on with the LTA after he stopped working with Andy for a further £375k for twenty weeks work.

Lendl was paid by Murray, the number has never confirmed but generally reported to have been a significant sum, and Lendl is reported to have demanded even more to return for less weeks in 2016; in addition to his fee Lendl reportedly got seven figure bonuses for Andy’s biggest results - so if you take those as being three slams and one WTF - no prize money for Olympics so maybe no bonuses - then Lendl may have got 4 million just in bonuses, not to mention his standard fee. Depending on whether the reports are true or not of course...
