Never got around to watching supershowdown. And after reading about nothing really intrigues me. I knew GBerg Taker was not going to be good but it sounded like it was going pretty good until GBerg busted his head on the turnbuckle and concussed him self. Getting dropped on your dome doesn't help either.
The only interesting thing here is WWE thought they were close to getting a Womens match added of Bliss vs Natalya. They traveled there expecting to have a go at it but got denied at the end. To me that's progress and I feel if they keep pushing the issue eventually they will get one. And then WWE will talk about it non stop for 500 days and I will be sick of it.
I think they may be setting up the Paul Heyman Brock break up. Paul keeps botching things. Maybe the Friday cash in at this point is being saved for Smackdown. Could a Brock SD champ vs newly signed former UFC champ Cormier be in the works for SD? I heard rumors Fox wanted Cormier to be involved with WWE on Fox in some capacity. How great would it be if Brock, Cormier, and WWE started all that UFC mess as a long work? They aint that smart anymore, but it would be funny.
And then Elias had to job to Mansoor. I get the Mansoor thing, but Elias. Mansoor winning got a huge pop though and assures WWE gets to go back. Maybe next time when they try for a womens match WWE can fight back with "you owe us this one, we let Mansoor with a 50 man battle Royale".
Saudi Fans are at least smart enough to know Lars sucks.

I would support Corbin as champ (I think I'm one of the few that actually likes the guy). Even it was just to simply Brock someone else to beat besides Seth so they can run back Seth vs Brock at some other point. Cuz lets be honest that's the only reason Corbin would win.
The entire womens division minus Becky and Flair continue to job to the "Womens Right". That is the most protected finisher in the company right now. Unless you are 7ft 450 plus pounds a punch should not be the finisher.

He looks like an arrogant A-Hole. Has size, good athleticism and good moveset, and the best finisher going right now.
Also was watching a Van Vliet interview with Ryback and how he said his back was almost ruined and mentioned the backpack stunner being the reason. Then he went on to mention how other guys that take the bump and rear have similar problems. Ryhno was quoted saying the best thing they did was ban the pile driver not only because the guys head getting possibly rammed but because landing on your but with all that weight ruins your back. Then they mentioned Austin with the stunner and Hogan with the leg drop. It makes sense when you think about it but it never really dawned on me before.

Also, this Shane stuff has to end. Just bring him in for the occasional high spot. Full time it aint working yet they devote 25% of smackdown and 17 percent of Raw. Makes Elias look dumb, aint helping Drew, buried Miz, then Corbin and the Revival get involved as well. Come on. Shane aint got Vinces charisma, and WWE don't have anyone that can act like Stone Cold. If they are doing all this to get Roman over what a freaking waste. They will never change Roman, he single handedly destroyed cancer just have him sprear and supermanpunch everybody into oblivion, give him the belt every so often and sell a crap load of merch.

And Ikr, never thought id be so sick of Shane. No one was better than peak Heel Vince. I was watching a Raw from late 98 when he was in the wheelchair and he had the crowd in the palm of his hands, it was GLORIOUS.

Yup, Vince was just a natural at that game. Shane has always been too easy to like and all his previous matches he has played such the strong face fighting from underneath and all that that this whole heel thing feels weird.
That whole mean street posse while doing heel things was pretty funny with Pete Gass and those guys being more of a mock style rich heel thing which plenty of people were fond of. An episode of Edge and Christian show actually met Pete Gass and got them into the Posse after giving them some training. My favorite E+C show they ever did.

AEW has a good thing going with this fyter fest thing. Omega wanted to name it that becuase of Fyre fest even though he ahs no idea what it wazs ro how it turned out. Jericho goes on twitter and bails because it being managed so poor and given away for free on B/R (despite never even being announced). Then pulls fozzy, and Corey Taylor tweets he is out. Omega scrambling to though DMs to make taylor happy. I ifnd this entire scenario entertaing. They might get me to actually watch the event. Especially if Lucha Bros are involved.

Pretty good Raw.
Rollins taking out anyone sniffing to being the special guest referee with chair shots let him kinda be the face and the heel at the same time. Rollins is better doing dastardly things to people. Corbin getting last laugh with an end of days on the chair to stand tall was perfect tease. Still have no idea who the ref will be through. Lesnar maybe then he interjects himself mid match and makes it three way like Rollins did a few years back at mania.
The iconics finally won a match.
Less shane this week but still probably too much shane.

Takes me back to my childhood with the ol Fun House show. True story, used to hang about with a fella that was on this as a contestant. Some banter haha. Any time he got the upper hand you would mention Fun House, and then he would give over. Deep down I thought it was badass.

It will still be on PPV over here and I'm certainly still all in. Can't not order the show after how awesome the last show was. I'm not mad that you are getting it for free in America. The price difference does make it easier to sink in. Both of the shows ordered will cost less than it did for the one PPV in America.
I don't believe I've ever seen Jericho in such bad fighting shape. The guy Jim Cornette was talking to on podcast said the same thing. Jim was staying pretty quiet on that remark, more interested in taking shots at Omega as usual. He did put over the Rhodes' match as some of the best stuff he has seen in wrestling in forever. I know Jericho is getting on a bit now. Kind of feel guilty for daring to criticize because of the impact he has made. He is Chris Jericho. I gotta get used to that gut.

My buddy lets call him steve works in a department he is 24. He was telling us this story about a guy who called the store and said he had talked the manager (steve) about some kind of deal. Steve didn't remember so he asked the guy what manager.
The guy replied "Oh I forgot his name but he was a portly gentleman in his mid 40's". So now everything is portly to us. Including Jericho
Sucks you dont get it for free, but at least they aren't draining your bank accounts every month to watch these things.
Also missed ther little deal Xavier did with Kenny at E3. Both are big into gaming, Kenny is probably why this AEW is happening in coordination with a big Fighting game tournament. Xavier would be on screen and leave and Kenny would show up. But they were never on screen at the same time and just missed each other multiple times.

Decent smackdown.
Miz was bale to keep a fued and match involving shane about him and they didn't let the big dog get involved. Miz is freaking good and was able to help Elias look decent.
Zigg had a decent match with Woods helping build up the cage match.
Some stupid tag match with Havy Machinery (Otis is great, tucker not so much) vs B Team Jobbers. D. Bry on the announce team is always gold though. B Team apparently considered being special guest referee so Rollins beat them down with a chair.
Seth and Kofi beat KO and Zayn. KO and Zayn are to good be jobbing out and losing all the freaking time.
Not super exited for Baily vs Bliss. Nikki Cross does add a needed twist into the match because you cant really tell what she is going to do. Will she continue to get play by Bliss? Help bayley? Or just screw it and lay them both out because she goes crazy again. My hope is for third. Again, not super exited about the match but Bayley can wear a freaking pair jeans with the best of them.

Its Corbin's decision so I dont why he would pick her to do. But yes if he had her do it I doubt Seth would hit her with a chair.
They to let Seth and Becky be a cuple off screen (which they are) and keep them away from each other for stryline purposes. I aint the biggest Becky fan, but if they truly want her to be a star having her following behind Seth aint a good look.

I dont like matches like that, takes away from Barons talent. He shouldnt need that much help. Im just glad brock didnt cash in, cant stand him, seth is a great champ aside from that chair nonsense

Some good matches early on this card. Didn't watch it all I turned it off before Bayley. And from reading the results smart choice.
Cruiserweights started it off right, and probably ruined the rest fo the show from an in ring entertainment perspective.
Fans were a little hard on Evans with the "You cant wrestle chants". I have yet to see any one look good vs Becky aside from Flair and Asuka (not even Becky looks good in Becky matches). But after following that 3 way I'm sure it looked extra bad.
KO and Sami vs New Day was pretty freaking good. If woods had 25 more Lbs and 3 more inches of height he is probably champ and not Kofi. Boy did he take a beating in this one.
Ricochet vs Joe, awesome match. Hopefully Joe without US belt is moving onto main event status.
D-Bry and Rowan vs Machinery. D-Bry cut a promo for the ages and is doing a good job as tag team champ. Not a match I was exited about before hand. Dozer is great and in person he has that extra something that gets you paying attention. Tucker is very much like the bigger street profit guy and he is just there for the ride. But this match was really freaking good. D-Bry got face pops being in Washington and the energy was good. D-Bry and Rowan really made Heavy Machinery look spectacular. Tucker was flying off the top tope and doping moonsaults. This match made those guys instantly credible.
Then I went to bed and didn't really miss anything. If you havertn watched it at least watch the cruiser weights, KO match, Richochet match, and Tag match. Skip the women and the title matches and Roman.
Bayley has a typical face vs two people victory.
Roman had a typical Roman vs 28000 people spear superman punch victory.
Kofi and Ziggler had a match where the result was never in question.
Seth and Baron were bascally in match to remind us Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch also has a match and that Beck and Seth are dating. Not looking forward to the Becky/Seth pairing. As I said before I really think it hurts both of them.

Lacey had some decent matches in NXT. She is capable and has actually proven more than capable on the MIC. With Becky it is hard, she is not super athletic and has to play this sorta bruiser stone cold type thing which relies on storytelling more than chain wrestling moves. When your opponent is Evans who is way larger and more athletic and till learning it makes it large ask to put on a quality match. Becky doesn't have the ability to just carry an opponent through a match like Flair does. Not having flair in the scene makes it obvious she was the reason they main evented wrestlemania. Ronda's celebrity helped but without Flair being involved the company was scared the in ring product could deliver. And Ronda vs Becky would not have delivered.
Corbin is great and nobody can convince me other wise. I think I have made that much clear by now.

I'm kinda zoned out as well. The product has been stale for a while. Typically they go all out for summer slam than it gets flat till rumble. I think they changed the flat period to know because the whole fox thing.
I would not be shocked if first night of SD they have a Kofi vs Seth and figure out a way for Brock to cash in on both at the same time pin both at the same time and win both titles. They really need to go back to one world champ. Doing it in that way would suck big time, but WWE has sucked big time recently anyway. I'm fine with US and IC belts staying around just get rid of the confusion of who is the main champ or not.
Never looked at Corbin and thought Dracula. But now since you said it that's all I'm going to think. Thanks.
