Lamb, he was using the white OG and the lux alu power.

Angel, glad you enjoyed the thread. I'll be stringing there again this year and try to provide some updates.

Drak,

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but where can I get the polybags with the name of company etc printed on it? I have a mini stringing business and I have been inspired to ask.

Thanks,

Dan

Wow. What an interesting job you have there Drak.
There's a danger I could be sucked into this fascinating world and become a racket/string geek.
Once I start talking in alphanumeric codes, then I'll know that's trouble.

Hey drak, do you remember Tipsarevic's tension at Delray beach?

Look at the stringing sheet in this photo:

I will be stringing at the Bank of West Classic this year, perhaps I'll get a thread going. These are pretty neat, and I realize TT readers enjoy them.

Please post lots of pics of the stringing room and players and racquets! I go every year for the qualies at Stanford. Another great place with easy access to the players. They warm up on the track right outside the stadium and the players walk right by you all the time. (Sharapova is the only one who walks around with security, haha.)

Haven't been on the boards for a long time, but really happy to read these recent posts on this thread. Glad to see people are still enjoying this thread. I'm here at the airport waiting for my flight back home after a long week of stringing at Indian Wells with the Head Stringing team.

I have one other thread here:

This thread is about my experience stringing with Priority One at the Cincy masters. Enjoy!!

The stringing pattern used for the tournament, unless specifically directed to string two-piece or a hybrid was needed, was a variation of a box pattern developed by Craig. This pattern tends to equalize the string bed, and hold tension better than a normal one piece pattern.

Does it by chance include 5 or 6 mains on the left, then going ATW as many times as needed? :)

I had a great time working with @drakulie at Indian Wells in the stringing room.
Learn so much from him. Great guy, great personality, and really knows his tennis.

AWOL out!

This whole thread is excellent - and makes me wonder how someone gets to be able to string for pro and high level junior tournaments.

All depends, mostly who you know. I started stringing for Universities because I knew the coaches, I got to string NCAA tournament because I know the lady in charge of athletics at the host university. I got to string my first Pro tournament because it was held at the university I was already stringing at. All that because of who I know. I hired a kid to help me string the Pro tournament this past year who I watched string for a while at a PGA store. He did a good job, so presented him the opportunity, but never met him before that day. Based on my experience, it is mainly who you know, and sometimes right place right time.
