Only info I get from Pro's Pro is that spin and comfort is better with Eruption... And Eruption is more neon green... That's all.

What overgrips do you use? I tried to find their replacement fro Wilson Pro and couldn't find it.

I’ve used GTacky and Super Tacky Plus. Both feel like Wilson Pro. I prefer the GTacky though.

Can't wait to try Eruption!!! It seems to be a perfect clone of X-perience and a more powerful and comfy version of Hyper-G.

I wouldn’t get too excited. Pros pro strings are cheap....in more ways than one.

Eruption 17 is really good!! Same feeling as Hyper-G!!!!

But I confirm that Hyper-G has better playability duration. Difference is not big but real.
Eruption starts to be dead at 7 hours. Snapback disappear...

I think so, too. But I found Hyper to be a little less comfortable, frankly, and seeing the price of Eruption, no problem to put fresh string more often. I even prefer it...
Enjoy Eruption. Currenlty trying to decide whether I prefer 1.24 or 1.18...

Can't really notice any shape on the string & the image on the front is a round poly (not shaped like the image at the top of this page).

They DON'T. The string is 6 sided. But it is not pronounced a lot.
And the round poly image is a mistake did at the factory.

Has anyone tried this string as a hybrid with NG? How does it compare with YPTP?

Just played some dubs with Eruption 1.30 for the first time, and I was playing really well with it. Not sure if it was just a good night for me, but the string was great in my Phantom Pro 100. Decent power for a poly, but combined with really good control. I was hitting some of the biggest groundstrokes I've hit in a while, taking full cuts without spraying. Spin was really good, but not over the top. Now I'll just have to see how well I play with it on a more off day.

It definitely doesn't feel like X-perience to the touch, but haven't played with it yet. Similar color, but also not the same, so those hoping it's the same string will be disappointed.

It's more similar to Hyper-G.

1.18 is a little crisper, less muted I feel. A little bit more power and spin. I changed it two hours earlier than the 1.24.
If you are going to play with the new O ports tour 100 (290) I recommend the 1.24.

Yes. But the difference is about 2 or 3 hours... That's really correct when the reel of Eruption is at 27€!!!

Just won a tournament match with Eruption 1.24 in my new Prince O3 Tour 100.
And I have to say again that the quality of this string is just totally AMAZING for that price!!!!!!! I know it will be dead quicker than Hyper G (7/8 hours I think) BUT at this so low price, you can string more often without thinking about money!!!!!! And that neon-green looks SO nice in my Prince!!!!!!
Seriously thinking about switching to Eruption as my go-to string!!!

No but I have a great stringer.

Oh I don't doubt you have a great stringer. Just that the labour cost of stringing does add up if you don't have your own stringing machine and if you string frequently.
