Pure aero plus aka pure aero + thread

I owned and play tested pure aero and tour and now trying plus and to my surprise it feels better to me on my one hander than standard length offerings that felt like they were 0.5 inch shorter.

Stock feels very fast but not weak and with better control than standard although they have the same string pattern.

I can wait to modify it a bit to see what can I get out of it.

So users of pa+ what's your experience so far and what string are you all using.

Some say hyper g and lux 4g play great in it...

Just in the phase of switching over to a PAT and hit with a PA+ (TW Demo). Yip, PA+ is quite a racket, loaded with Power, and a Serving machine...for sure (as most reviews rightly mention).
I have a Single Backhand and was expecting to struggle a bit with the 27.5", but i didn't..too much that is. Coming Over my backhand (Topspin and flat) felt decent, I just felt i had to watch my slice as catching it late.
Fair enough it was only hitting for a few hours spread over week so I am sure i could dial this in. But very decent racket indeed. RPM Blast, I think, is simply designed for the Babolat Rackets, and worked a charm in the PA+

I havn't hit with hyped g but hear its good, I do use Solinco Tour Bite 16l (52lbs) quite a bit in the PAT, so that will work in the PA+. Im a big fan of 4G as used it a lot when I used the SixOne 95 (16x18) and a bit in my RF97, but i think this may be too stiff in the PAT and PA+ Rackets. 4G is somewhat stiff. But if you like Stiff, well 4G is the way to go...and lasts the longest.

Thanks for your input. Do you find 4g to die like big banger original or is it playable for longer. I am a big fan of Big banger original but It does not last too long. Its magical first outing but than it drops tension and balls tend to fly. Also what gauge of 4g?

Using luxilon alu power 16L..52lbs
Luxilon big banger original 53/49 lbs.

Having a hard time choosing.... Tried RPM.. Didn't like it with this stick.... Use on other sticks.... Liked RPM hybrid in mains with natural gut crosses... But gut broke in 5 hours... So going full poly this next string job

Im also a big fan of Big Banger, magical in the beginning, as you say, but would only get about 3 hours (max) in a SixOne95 (16x18) before it lost its tension to much, I'd get 6-8 Hours with 4Gl. If the shop didn't have 4Gl in stock, i would would use Big banger, as very similar to 4G and 4Gl. Big Banger is a fair bit stiffer and i liked the extra spin, just the short life was a negative.

Any updates on the Pure Aero + ? I also have a one handed bh, ask I'm really interested in your thoughts. I've never used an extended length racquet but certainly open to trying it. Works pretty well for Gasquet(as I recall, he used and extended length Head LM Instinct). Thanks

In another thread, I know there is a lot of love for Hyper G in the Pure Aero.

Dgoran what is your take on this versus 2015 PD + ?
Never tried 2015 PD + I do have 2012 PD and I must say that I now after demoing pure aero + I prefer 2012 PD plus and standard to pure aero plus.
In match experience was horrendous with pure aero plus in addition it started giving me arm pain so after one match and maybe 1-2 hrs of just hitting I dropped pure aero plus like a hot potato never to be near me again :)

See my previous post...if you want something like gasquet try to find liquid metal instinct xl or yonex xi team plus very unique and unlike any babolats
