Pure Drive (No Cortex) Users, any of you guys left?

I'm wondering if I'm the last person to still prefer the Pure Drive + Team to any of the new versions of the pure drive. The Newest PDR+ from 2012 gets about the closest to the teams but I still love all my Team+'s much more than any of the PD's/PDR's with cortex/gt.

So, who all is out there and do you guys prefer the 2001 model or the 2003? I prefer the 2001 "Swirly" model the best.

Cheers

You're not alone. I still use the standard length team version, and love it! Hardest part is finding more...

I just think there's a lot more feel in the models without the cortex. The GT and flipping the cortex helped but there's nothing like that PDT+ feel. I just found 5 almost new ones in my grip size from a co-worker so i'm now set for the next 3-4 years if I continue to take good care of them.

I see. Yes, Team version of the PD+ was my first proper frame really and I've had a few outings with it over last few years. Always will hold a special place for me.

BTW, I only realised fairly recently that PD+ Team and PD+ Swirly are the same frame, just different paint.

My No. 1 stick still remains the PD Team, in spite of numerous demo's and also I agree the PD 12 is the 2nd best, but still no match for the Team.

When I need to impress, especially playing very competitive new players, the PD Team is without doubt my "Go To" Stick. I wish Bab would re-launch it as a Classic. I am always hunting for a mint condition grip 3....

I have all of mine weighted to 320 grams with a 314-320 swingweight unstrung. Very Similar to Roddick's setup actually.
