Federer reached his 31st Grand Slam semifinal, which ties Jimmy Connors for most grand slam semifinals of all time.

Federer reached his 7th French Open semifinal. This is the most of any male player ever in the open era.

Federer has now reached at least 7 semifinals of all four grand slams. Only Lendl and Agassi reached at least 5 semifinals of all grand slams.

I could care less about those records. Is he gonna win another slam with his flawed serve is the question.I notice his serve has been on the decline.

Continue to add another record like this one further increase the gap from the past great players. He's arguably the most complete player of all time by consistently making semifinals in every surfaces.

Too bad he blew so many finals. He should have 20 majors.

Incredible that he came back from the dead today.
Delpo must feel like Alpo. :)

Fed's consistency and ability to stay injury free is remarkable. He is 31/32 in making consecutive GS semis, I believe.
What was the quarter he lost?

He lost in the 2010 RG quarterfinal to Soderling, and then followed it up with a loss to Berdych in the Wimbledon quarters that same year.

I guess that is what makes the consecutive quarters record incredible. Inevitably, you are going to run into a hot hand even in the earlier rounds. You are having an off day and the other guy is in the can't miss zone. Solderling was in that zone when he beat Rafa at RG. If Berdych is serving great he is unbreakable. No one will match or break Fed's record, due to injuries or just running into a hot hand on a bad day.

2010 RG was only QF, 2010 Wimbledon was QF and 2011 Wimbledon was QF.
