Replacing my ProStaff 6.1 95

I used to hit with the PS 6.1 95. Took 8 years off from tennis, but I've picked up my sticks again. I'm a 4.5 all court player looking to upgrade, but need something that is lighter and won't hurt my elbow as much as my prostaff. I do LOVE the way the PS 6.1 hits and am going to stick with the 6.1 family. I've been hitting with my buddies Asian k95 and i like it, A LOT. Its much lighter, so I feel no elbow pain, and am able to generate more spin on groundstrokes from the increase in head speed, thereby keeping down some balls that would sail long with the PS (I hit with a somewhat extreme western grip with a short backswing). I prefer the PS 6.1 serving and at the net. I also miss the plow of the PS 6.1.

Think the AK95 is only 10.9oz. I feel I could handle a little bit more weight, as I think the PS 6.1 95 is 11.8oz.

I'm debating purchasing the Asian BLX95 and then adding a little bit of lead tape.

I am also interested in the Asian blx90 (11.3oz), as it would still be 0.5oz less than the PS 6.1. Any suggestions between the Asian BLX95 and the Asian BLX90? Keep in mind I'm switch from an old ProStaff 6.1 95 and love it. Thanks.

The PSC6.1 is actually about 12.6oz strung stock. It's a mid weight tank that has the most plowthrough for any racket I've played with.

I've been trying to find a replacement for a long time, and the closest I've played with, and Fuzz Nation can attest to, is the Volkl C10 Pro series. Very similar in feel and weight, but worlds of difference in comfort.

Definitely worth considering Vantage frames imo - the older ones and the newer Bast Cores (20) seem to have attracted past PSC users. I certainly thought my older VTs had a kind of Pro Staff-esque quality to them. X 2 also on the C10 Pro, though my no. 1 recommendation would be to check out Vantage racs. Finally, I personally loved the N95. Might be worth considering if you haven't already?

I'd go with the asian one. I own a us one and it is heavier by 4~5% than wilsons spec probably due to Quality Control. Now I have to live with it but I would opt for a lighter one b/c u can always customize it.

Or you can wait to c the wilsons new box beam 95 should b sweet :D

Getting a US blx95 or US BLX90 is not an option. It's really between the Asian blx90 or the Asian blx95. Again, hit with the Asian 95, like it, but somewhat light and prefer the PSC serving and at the net.

I've also hit with the US BLX95, just a bit too heavy. Looking for some feedback from anyone who has hit with an Asian blx90. I think it may be the perfect balance of the PSC and the Asian blx95. Thanks everyone for the replys, been most helpful.
