Roddick vs Guccione

Roddick wins 6-3, 6-7(3), 7-6(5). He's playing Nishikori next, and I'm going ahead to predict the upset right now.:p Nishikori in straights.

I wonder if Andy is asking James about Kei.

Blake gets inconsistent a lot of times, but I would be really surprised if Kei pulls an upset on this one. Roddick usually beats the player whom he is supposed, especially if the guy is out of top 30-40, he rarely loses. Kei is a great story, and my countryman as well. I hope he wins, but I don't know about this one...

ohman... roddick won.. i really liek guccione and i wanted him to beat roddick. sounds like he really tested roddick. maybe a breakthrough year for guccione? im thinking he'll crack the top 50 this year.

i hope kei nishikori takes out roddick in straight sets next round.

From the side of the court, it sure looked like Roddick double-faulted on match point serving at 6-5 in the tiebreak, but no call. Guccione raised his hands but since the whole audience started applauding loudly he didn't put up much of a complaint. But that second serve sure looked out to me which would have made it 6-all in the tiebreak and Guccione may have won that match.

Do they have Hawk-eye in San Jose?

yeah, hawkeye is being used in rotterdam, holland.

by the way, any livestreaming or other coverage possibilities for roddick-nishikori SAP? sounds like a tasty matchup.

Yep, I noticed that too. There was another of the same situation earlier in the match where it was obvious that Roddick didn't think that his serve was in.

Nope, but I wish they did. Several questionable calls this week.

still can't beat toronto masters for bad calls. the line judges on the outer courts are the most brutal i have seen over the years. the chair umpire is over ruling at least once per game.

i've only seen worse calls during a USA/Peru davis cup match in Peru where the Peru players seemed to have the use of the doubles alleys too
