I will not be able to watch the semis, because I need to be somewhere else, but this is what I am wishing for, so just spare me the We-dont-know-yet-if-they-are-in-the-final... or is-it-so-important-who-starts-the-thread. if one or both dont make it then we'll forget it.

The poll will close before the match starts, that's another reason to start it early.

Here is an idea...post your favorite rock band music that you think best describes this match. Nothing silly, stupid or insulting to players, por favor.

Here is mine:

i've waited hours for this
i've made myself so sick
i wish i'd stayed asleep today
i never thought this day would end
i never thought tonight could ever be
this close to me

Nadal in 3 TLW?

Would be nice winning it w/o losing a set after not even reaching the final before, in how many tries? 4-5?
Maybe asking for too much... So Good luck buddy

I want Rog to win, either in 3 sets so he can really put the "He's finished! The King is Dead!" crowd to bed by winning the US Open without dropping a set (this is going on the assumption that Djokovic doesn't win a set off him today... or beat him of course), and doing so at the age of 29 against his closest rival...

OR Roger to win in 5 tight sets, so 2010 can have a classic Grand Slam final at last!

I don't really want Nadal to win the US Open yet. Even if his career finishes sooner than most players' because of his knees, 24 feels like too young an age to have won everything.

Ignoring all the weak draw arguments for a second, this run doesn't feel like a fluke. If he wins today he'll have earned his place in the final, and it's too big a stretch of the imagination to think he won't get there again.

29 years old...

Look at his generation and where his opponents are now....Safin, Hewitt, Blake, Roddick, Gonzo, Haas, nalbandian...

And he is still close to very top and going against 22, 23, 24 year olds.

And yet it seems like the expectations are the same as he was 25

I'd say Rafa in 4. Honestly, Fed still has some issues when playing against Rafa. It will appear again in the finals.

As much as I love Federer (and hope he achieves his goal of 20 Majors... somehow), that's probably the funniest response I could imagine.
