One day it will be true but we were getting all this terminal decline stuff in 2013.
Absolute nonsense. It eventually happens to everyone. Federer's movement is noticeably garbage compared to even a couple years ago. Only thing he's got is serve.
He just won the Laver Cup........6 months ago, nice...
BRUH WHATHe just won the Laver Cup........
Oh yes, he’s got peak movement rn. Forgot.Absolute nonsense.
Birdman was Top 10 at the start of 2017 and is now off the face of the planet. He's less than 2 years from his 40th birthday and is world 3. Barring injury, of course he's still going to be automatically qualifying for draws when he turns 40.
What are you talking about?Oh yes, he’s got peak movement rn. Forgot.
It’s dramatically worse. He’s just hanging in rallies he should be finishing early against guys he should be beating easily. He used to have the best footwork on tour by a lot even a few years ago. Now, he’s regressed to the pack. What are you talking about?
Does he move better than 10 years ago? No.
But he still moves better then most of the young guys on tour.
His footwork is still remarkable and you're blind if you can't see it.
He lucked out not having to face SockBRUH WHAT
He beat opponents that you’d find in quarterfinals and below at masters or grand slams. Apart from a good run at Wimby it’s been a desolate stretch since Miami. And yes, a semi at RG after a cupcake draw that ended with him getting dusted is not an encouraging result.
You forget a minor detail, the guy is 38 years old, buddy.
Nothing but an accelerated decline awaits him. Do you think someone who has been called the GOAT for most of his career will still hang around after he’s no longer competitive in slams or even BO3? His ego and legacy will not allow him to.
Birdman was Top 10 at the start of 2017 and is now off the face of the planet.
Anderson was Top 5-10 in 2018 and is now nowhere to be scene.
Yes they have struggled with injuries, but what's stopping injuries also plaguing Fed?
Things are looking bleak for Djoker, record-wise.It has really gone down hill for him.
Things are looking bleak for Djoker, record-wise.
You are suggesting that a 38 year-old take a break?
It's called retirement.
The thread or crushing loss?Is it bad that I could see this coming a mile away?
Why is Federer never allowed to lose but when Djokovic does it’s okay lol.
It’s Shanghai let the young dudes have their moment. I’m still not sold on them in slams
let me say it. fed you are allowed to lose.
The formerThe thread or crushing loss?
It has really gone down hill for him.
Feeble attempt to outdo king of trolls @sureshs who beat you to the punch 12.5 years ago after Canas crushed fedr twice in a row at M1Ks he had won the year before.I think he needs it to recover from soul crushing loss. Just skip remaining season, take rest, spend time with family and see whether it works.
Tsitsipas... The goat saviour...Fed is a mentor of sorts to Zverev. He'll be fine. Basel will give him a boost and his weeks record looks safe for now. Tsitsipas gave him an early Christmas present. It's not all bad.
Against Sascha no. Against 2019 Sascha, definitely.Sascha was too good for him after all.On a fast surface like this, with that huge serve, there's no shame to loose against him.
There's no point in retiring as things can't get any worse than this.retire before his records tumble
Say what?Getting wildcards into every draw ranked 250 in the world? He's barely in top 20 form at 38
Then Djokovic must really suck to almost lose to such a player in a slam final. It eventually happens to everyone. Federer's movement is noticeably garbage compared to even a couple years ago. Only thing he's got is serve.
Uhhh, yeah? This is 2019 Zverev who had no top 10 wins before facing Fed.Was Federer supposed to beat Zverev on hardcourts in best of 3? I think Zverev was always going to be a formidable foe in this setting for pretty much anyone if he's mentally right.
Medvedev is Djokovic boogey man. Hell, Next Gen is the Boogeyman. The party is over, son. It was a good run.Tsitsipas... The goat saviour...
Goat is sinking as we speak, as he need Tsi and Nad to save him...
Till next slam, and Rafole win AO and RG, you will sing another song, the one about lost Lost Gen...Medvedev is Djokovic boogey man. Hell, Next Gen is the Boogeyman. The party is over, son. It was a good run.
Medvedev is the real deal.Till next slam, and Rafole win AO and RG, you will sing another song, the one about lost Lost Gen...
Remember Kachanov and Zverev from this time ladt year? You will never learn
True.Hoping for a rematch at the WTF.Against Sascha no. Against 2019 Sascha, definitely.
FFS. Fed was his first top 10 win. This tells you everything.
Like...next 50 years?Spend time with his family....dude millions of dads barely see their children because they have to work their a**es off.
I agree he needs to forget about tennis for a while, though.
That doesn't mean Zverev forgot how to play tennis. He really shouldn't be losing to an old man like Federer anywhere.Uhhh, yeah? This is 2019 Zverev who had no top 10 wins before facing Fed.
I think Federer sleeps just fine at night.Tsitsipas... The goat saviour...
Goat is sinking as we speak, as he need Tsi and Nad to save him...
Do you believe Djoker has gotten over it?The idea that the best way for him to get over 40-15 is by not playing is crazy. He's got to get back on the horse and ideally face Nole ASAP
Do you believe Djoker has gotten over it?
Getting wildcards intoevery draw ranked 250any tournament in the world? At 38 he's serving to win W ! At 40 he'll still be the number one draw in tennis. He's barely in top 20 form at 38
It eventually happens to everyone. Federer's movement is noticeably garbage compared to even a couple years ago. Only thing he's got is serve.
To be fair, Zverev already showed a few times that he can suddenly up his game. This is what happened in WTF 2018 for example. If one told me after his RR match against Djokovic that Zverev is going to win the title beating Djokovic in the final I would never believe that.Uhhh, yeah? This is 2019 Zverev who had no top 10 wins before facing Fed.
