String breakage and slight wrist problem...

I have recently tried Topspin Cyber Flash 1.25, and really like it, but I only got @15 hours of play out of it before I broke one of the mains. I realize some players are quite content with 15 hours of play, but I would like more. I have been considering a couple different options and have several questions I hope you don't mind answering.

I could get Cyber Flash 1.30, but it seems to be not nearly as good as its 1.25 counterpart according to the ratings database. Is Cyber Flash 1.25 that much better than the 1.30?

I have also thought about switching to something more durable (again, according to the ratings database) such as Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.23, but I don't know much about it. Is it enough more durable to warrant a switch?

On top of the string breakage issue, I also have had a minor wrist problem, which is manageable at this point. I typically hit hard forehands with heavy topspin, which is likely part of the problem given my wrist problem is only on the forehand side. Would it suffice to do wrist exercises to strengthen my wrist and warm it up before I play (if so, what might they be?) or would be be better/necessary to switch to a softer Poly? Is Signum Pro Poly Plasma considerably softer than the Cyber Flash 1.25 that I have been using?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I thought you guys could probably help me sort out everything I have been considering.

Thanks,
Chad

im a string breaker and im not sure what your tension are but im using cyberflash 1.25/17 ga for my crosses too but at 57pounds. My mains are lux BB alu power rough at 55. 80-85% of the time, the lux BB on the mains break first.

I would changed strings every 12sessions or when it breaks, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the reply. Currently, I use Cyber Flash 1.25 in a full job at 58 lbs. I want to get more playing time out of a set of strings so I definitely need to either switch to 1.30 or a different string altogether.

chad,
If i would use full cyberflash 1.25 (17gauge), it would only last 4-5session. Im using BB Alu Power rough for my mains and cyber flash cross....50-55lbs mains and crosses depending on the conditions.

That set-up is lasting me 8-14sessions. It either breaks, loses tension, or I cut them in 2.5weeks (whichever come first).

I thought about doing a hybrid with Cyber Flash 1.25. I may end up doing just that.

Be careful with that wrist problem. Took me 6 weeks before pain went away. My wrist pain came from switching to a new racket. I was doing a little weightlifting and it must have aggravated a tendon. The pain was worse than when I tore my rotator cuff. Imagine cringing everytime you hit a forehand. Sounds like CyberFlash may be causing the discomfort you may want to mess around with different tensions or look into a softer poly.
