I've been stuck on Monty Are I for a while - give them a look.

If you dig the Trio, you may dig Bayside - fantastic band out of Long Island.

Motion City Soundtrack released a fantastic new record this summer that has been getting a lot of play on my iPod.

nope, I scrolled down my music and when I saw something similar to the OP I stuck it on the list.

Stuff like Arcade Fire and Tilly I just really like so I would recommend them for something new to listen to :)

Hah, you named a bunch of indie bands. Im not really into indie, i just like coldplay and oasis :/

Oasis and Coldplay aren't indie..oh well.

If you like Oasis I'd suggest..

Stereophonics
Kasabian
Elbow
TV On the Radio
Radiohead

And as Dedans said if you like Coldplay you'd like Snow Patrol, who in my opinion are a much better version of Coldplay.

From the other bands on your list I'm not sure what exactly your tastes are but all five of those are some of the most talented bands going right now so I'd give them a try.

Everyone's mentioning some great bands, but if you're looking for the kings of California it's

SUBLIME

They will change your world and they're just freaking awesome, and they're in line with the rest of the bands you mentioned but are a slightly different style, but just as kick ass. They're like RHCP (90's band from Cali, also) in the way that they are so versatile, but not so funky. Every song is different, but their style is basically Punk, Reggae, Ska, Hard Rock, Hip-Hop, Dub, and folk/acoustic. But, like I said, every song is different.

Check out the songs "Santeria", "Wrong Way", and "What I Got" as a starter kit. They're the most "commercial" songs you'll find by them, so it's easy to get into the band with these songs.

Here's "Santeria" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrLJ6Saq7u4
"What I Got" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sal-bp_ciC4
"Wrong Way" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBYjTyXXeOs
and if you want something a little heavier with a ska flavor, "Seed" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqYAoJRDua0

Cheers!

BorisBeckerFan (and Zapov), The Killer's breakthrough "hit" reminded me of (lifted from?) Bowie's "Queen B*tch" from his Ziggy Stardust album.

(esp. the chorus part: "and I'm phoning a cab, 'cause my stomach feels small...there's a taste in my mouth, and it's no taste at all, it could've been me oh yes it could've been me...." *yuck lyrics=though, great song*.....)
