Switching to Babolat..

I currently play with a Prince Tour 100 16 x 18 which is bread n butter for me, I love it.

Long story short I picked up a Babolat sponsership packing which allows me to get any two sticks from babolat.

I played with the pure control on friday (98 sq in, 10.4 oz.) and loved it. It felt like a pure drive that was slightly stiffer.

Has anyone tried the Pure Strike 16 x19? Thoughts about the pure control?

Thanks

Depends what you're looking for in a frame. Personally I find the Pure Control and Pure Drive to be too light. If you're a more advanced player who can handle a 11.5+ oz frame, then I would suggest you look at the Pure Control Tour, Pure Control 95+ (if you like extended length frames), or the Pure Drive Roddick.

Many people like the AeroPro Drive as well. If your game is all about topspin and playing from the baseline, then the Pure Drive Roddick or AeroPro Drive would be your best bet. If you like to have some feel in your game and prefer less stiff sticks, give the Pure Control series sticks a try.

I have a Pure Strike Tour arriving this week, I haven't hit with it yet but I hear its more of a inbetween stick somewhere between the Pure Drive and Pure Control line of rackets.

Yeah it was definitely too light. The Pure control tour is 11.8, way too heavy for me. I have a long history with the pure drive as well and I dont think im going back to that. I want to get some feedback of the Pure strike 16 x19. I like the 98 sq in head, open string pattern, and 320g is a perfect weight.

Ah well I can't help you there. 11.5 oz is the minimum weight I look at.

I hope you find the right Babolat stick for you. There's nothing wrong with the Pure Control with lead tape to get you up to your ideal weight.
