Tennis in North America

Hello,
I currently live in Sydney Australia and am thinking about moving to North America. I am still undecided whether to move to the U.S or Canada. My question is about tennis there. Currently here in Australia, i play Tuesday Night Competition, Wednesday Night Men's Competition, and Saturday Afternoon Competition. Just wondering if you guys up there have a similar format??
Also a question for the Canadians. Which part of Canada is ideal for playing tennis? Over here, we have a massive misconception that all of Canada is under snow, but a couple of mates have told me some parts of Canada are similar to Australia's weather.

Cheers, would really appreciate feedback.

Hello jman,

I'm a North Americaner, looking to move somewhere else in the US. While considering locations, the availability of good tennis is VERY high on my list. (The wife has priorities somewhat different from mine.) Anywho, the availability of tennis varies quite a bit in the US, as it probably does down there. If you're going to a major population center, you can count on there being some good chance to play quality tennis multiple times a week. If you're going somewhere more remote, it depends. Some of the less populated places have VERY little tennis, and some of the less populated have very GOOD tennis. It depends on a lot of things, not least of which is the amount of disposable income of the majority of the inhabitants.

I've been doing a lot of research on the internet, and have had mixed results. www.TennisWelcomeCenter.com and www.TennisResortsOnline.com have both been helpful, as has google.
