I have to say I have been impressed with many of Head's offerings, so the chance to test their latest string would be awesome.
LynxSpin2, Lynx Tour and Hawk are all great depending on your string needs.
It just so happens that I've got 2 identical new Pure Strikes that need strings ... it would be a perfect pairing!

Honestly, one of the most intriguing play tests to possibly be part of. Head strings have been one of the most consistent impressive strings as a whole. I've restrung my rackets MULTIPLE times with either Hawk Touch or Lynx Tour (Lynx Tour was my string of choice for probably the longest time). I genuinely don't think Head strings have ever disappointed me, and to possibly play and test prototypes sound amazing!

I second that, whole heartedly! I hope I get in! I really enjoyed testing the last Head Co-Poly Comparison. I was just about to string up with Lynx Tour Orange but I may have to put that off for a couple of weeks. The KB flash and KB Super Smash Orange have held up well but have pretty much run their course. So that should free up two frames for side-by-side comparison.

Well it happened...I got the call, which was an email...

Now the tough choices get made, what racquets?
I'm really considering pulling the ol' pro stock Ultra Tours out of retirement. It's been too long...
Also have a pair of (c. 2014) Pro Staff 95's that would be great too
I should clarify, I am seeking input!

Got the email. Tnx TW and Head. Cleaned the Neos 1000 last night. Last days for the KB Black Flash and Super Smash Orange ... onward and upward. Let's get ready to Rumble! Head to Head CoPoly Playtest !! Made in America, I think.

So mine came today!!
I only opened one ( so I can keep track of which is which) but definitely a round poly, maybe 16L 1.25 at a glance.
If I had to guess it seems a little like a round version of Lynx Tour.

Wow that was fast! I didn’t get a ups email notifying me that it shipped as usually happens. I’m maining the pure strike v4, but might string these up in my two extreme tours to keep it in the head family…we shall see.

I'm in also! Mine will arrive tomorrow. I'll string one set up and start hitting on Monday. That'll give about a week and a half per set until the due date. Happy happy joy joy!

@Fighting phoenix and others, if possible I'd string these up in 2 identical racquets at the same tensions so the only variable is the string. I'll be using PS 98 Gen 3 16x19. I haven't decided on a tension, but these seem relatively firm so I am leaning towards 44/46.
Yep two of the same racquet for sure, that’s what I meant thinking about testing in the two extremes I have since they’re matching.

waiting to get mine in the mail. Are we required to test with full-bed? Are we allowed to do a hybrid setup (e.g. Syn Gut in the crosses)?

No hybrids for this one. Test each string in full bed. Post review here and fill out Head survey once you've picked a winner.

They came yesterday and I opened them up today. I'm going to make special labels for the string jobs so I can tell them apart. I haven't opened up the packages yet. But did read above from @StringStrungStrang that one is round poly. This makes me even more stoked because I'm kind of in love with the longevity that I'm getting out of the past three round poly's in our testing (for me that's KB Black Flash / KB Super Smash and Hyper-G Round. So this should be super cool to try. The code numbers make it even more fascinating.

Haven't received mine yet, but I'm guessing they'll both be round since they've set this up as a blind playtest with a survey and everything. It seems like they're close to releasing either a new string or an update and want to get some feedback from your average rec. level player prior to launching a final version.

I received Head co-poly string playtest notice last week, and my V1 and V2 strings are scheduled to arrive on 4/10/2024 by UPS. I have prepared my two matched Head Pro Tour MPs ready, and I am looking forward to playtest and provide my feedback for the new Head co-poly strings. Thank you, Head Company and @TW Staff, for this playtest opportunity!

Will be fun too since I’ll be coming off of a couple of weeks of exclusively using Lynx tour (highly coveted 1.20 gauge version). I’m assuming these will be around 1.25?

@TW Staff ... is Michelle going to do a podcast with Dennis Fabian from Head about this new string? I think he mention last time around that they have a factory here in the USA so I'm wondering if these strings are coming from there? Seems like the factory may have been in Tennessee but I'm not sure.
