Just gone mine. I was going to string one up today. But then noticed that both V1 and V2 are extremely similar on touch. So decided against stringing one at a time. I will string both on the same day on my 2 RF97, which had to be postponed to tomorrow.
The plan is to avoid all other variables, and have a side by side hitting for true comparison.

Just strung both up in matched Pure Aero 98s at 45 lbs. I couldn’t tell any difference while looking at them or while stringing them. Looking forward to playing with the strings tomorrow.

Just got my sets!

I measured the gauge with a caliper and got consistent readings for both V1 and V2 at 1.26 - 1.27 mm.
Thanks! I just logged in to ask about this! Much appreciated!

Strung up V1 this afternoon and played three sets of doubles and did some warm up hitting for about 1/2 hour with my partner. First impressions. This is a high quality string. It seems like it has a slippery coating on it. It is very easy to string up. It is a round poly. I would say it gives above average spin for a round poly. I get a lot of control with this string. Strung it up at 50 lbs. It's testing about 46.2 after that first hitting session this afternoon. It's a stand out string for backhand slice. I'm impressed. I hope V2 is just as good. Should be able to get that one in by Thursday (next doubles match).

edit: strung up V2 yesterday and with only one set of dubs and some warm up hitting on it now; heading back out with the ball machine at noon today to start the" head-to-head" (pun intended) testing. Should be fun. Strung V2 at 50 lbs. and it played very well. I'm not 100% sure but it seems like the coating on this one is slightly less slick. It was easy to string as well. It's a high quality string. Very much in control with this string. Serve / Volleys were great. Access to spin was above average for a round poly once again. I will post photos of both frames and first impressions a bit later today.

Just got mine in and strung up V1. We'll see how it goes in the next day or two. It's a round white pearl looking string. Fairly easy to string up since it had a tendency to straighten out instead of remain coiled. It has a little bit of a slick coating but it's not as noticeably slick as others.

Interesting in that the email asks us to test these strings simultaneously, but they look exactly the same and I'm worried I'll get them mixed up, since I didn't notice any writing on the strings themselves. I'll have to be careful to place a little sticker on each of the racquets for "v1" and "v2" ;-)

These strings are very very similar. I took a look at them both under a magnifying glass. I couldn't tell any difference. The coating on both strings is shiny and glistening. After hitting with both strings it's pretty hard to say one is noticeably different than the other given first impressions. Since it's going to be raining the next two days, it should give a bit of time for the string bed tensions to normalize out. Thus far: V1 - initial stringing April 9 2024 at 50 lbs. Today April 12 2024 it's at 44.5 lbs. (using Tennis Tension App).
V2 - initial stringing April 11 2024 at 50 (tennis tension read 52 though off the stringing machine) and today April 12 2024 its at 47.8.

Took them out for two hitting sessions today and I started to gravitate towards v1 at first because the pocketing felt better but then after a while I just couldn't decide. Really like them both to be sure. Right now it's a coin flip. I love the ping you get on first session with both strings; I don't use a dampener I just love that ping sound.

I got my Head Next Co-poly TVP 22-001 V1 and V2 playtest strings on Wednesday (4/10/2024). Upon examining both V1 and V2 strings, both strings felt like 16 gauges, and I could not distinguish any noticeable difference between V1 and V2. I know I could easily mix up these two strings, and I made one mark for V1 and two marks for V2 using the permanent marker. There was no issue to note using a drop-weight string machine to string both matching Head PT280 MPs at 53 lbs mains / 53 lbs crosses on Wednesday (4/10/2024).

I started playtest on Friday (4/12). So far, I have playtested about 3 hours total on each racquet and enjoy playtesting these control-oriented strings on the courts. Both V1 and V2 play very similar to each other, and I cannot decide on which one is better for me yet.

I agree with @Dunlop300g, @Djinn and @Fighting phoenix (among others) - Absolutely nothing visually to set these apart, so I had to mark both of my racquets too. Not at the level of you @Dunlop300g, but some blue tape does the trick too!
I did notice on stringing that my V1 was more difficult to string since it was stiffer in my hands than V2. It didn't go through the grommets as easily and stringing crosses was noticeably more difficult.
I strung my pair of PS 98 16x19 3rd Gen @ 44 lbs mains / 46 lbs crosses and have to say I was impressed in my initial outing, They have checked a lot of boxes for me: power depth, spin, control, launch angle and consistency, but will give more thoughts on a V1 V2 comparison after I log a few more hours with them.

Super interesting- in my testing so far I agree that I prefer v1 due to the increased pocketing sensation compared to v2. I felt this across multiple ball types and court surfaces/conditions.

I was hesitant to post here, given the biases we can project through our posts, but glad to hear others are experiencing the same.

Played an hour and a half, about 45 mins each racquet.

Not really enough time to get any meaningful impressions, I usually like 1-2 hrs just for break-in.

Color is nice, would match the Shift like a dream.
Seems fairly control oriented, I don't think it's a round Lynx Tour for a couple reasons:
A. They have one of those already
B. Doesn't really feel like Lynx Tour
C. They have one of those

My original thought was this could be an addition to the Sonic Pro line to build that out more, seems like a lost line.

@Chairman3 love the look of those white Solinco racquets !
After a couple more hours with them I noticed that
1) they both play similarly; I like the power, depth, spin, control and launch of both
2I kept gravitating towards the V1. Today I felt more connected to that string/racquet combo.
3) spin is surprisingly good
4) not a round Lynx tour; it is playing / feeling similar to LynxSpin2. That is a big compliment coming from me since I really like that string combo and would play it more but not available in reels.
5) haven't figured out my serve with either yet. That is not so much a commentary on the strings as it is about where my serve is at the moment!!

@Chairman3 About the Sonic Pro ... it seems quite a bit stiffer than Sonic Pro IMHO. I agree that Sonic Pro is sort of a lost line though; that's good way you put it. I have a customer that is using it and he really seems to like it. I recommended it to him as a way to introduce him to playing with a poly since it's so much softer.

I'm pretty sure they're sticking with Hawk and Lynx as their two poly pillars going forward - Hawk Power, for example, is a very different string than regular Hawk, but for branding/positioning/pricing purposes they're sticking with those two silos.

That's why I thought they might be trying to add another sonic string, to create a third distinct silo. Maybe call it Sonic Control?
Alternatively, this could theoretically be a "lynx power" except it really isn't powerful.

Just watched this pretty cool video where Michelle (TW) and Denis Fabian (Head Stringing Guru) talk about Rublev's practice session and setup; along with other Head Pro setups like Sinner, Fritz, Zverev, and Djokovic.

They hint that more is to come ... so here's hoping! Now off to another hitting session with my two new friends, V1 and V2. edit: Denis notes in the video that he want to respond to a number of commentators here ... but for obvious reasons ... he cannot. So he's with us and is one of us in heart!

Put in another 3 hours with these Head strings (V1 and V2). In general I like both which is a good thing because no one wants to spend time hitting with strings they don't like!!
I was fortunate to be on a previous playtest of Head strings ( LynxSpin2, Head Hawk, Lynx Tour, Head Hawk Power) and was impressed then too. As for V1 and V2 they both have a good feel, I feel that V1 is a bit softer (not mushy, not muted) while V2 is a touch firmer, more direct and crisper. For round strings they deliver nice spin and control. As for power, I 'd say they are both control oriented, but V1 has slightly more horsepower. There is power, but they are consistent and pretty easy to get accustomed to. Sound: V2 has a high pitched "twing" on shots, while V1 has a more muted sound. I'd say I prefer the more muted sound, but I am happy with the results of V2 so the sound doesn't really factor into a preference.

I like both of these from pretty much all over the court; groundstrokes from both sides are nice and solid and connecting on a good 2HBH is awesome with either. Volleys are solid. Return of serve, which is one the things I find critical in a string, is just about right where I like it. Both strings have enough feel and can absorb pace off of big serves to get you into a point. The ball comes off the strings nicely and the launch is "medium", not too low like some synthetic gut or multis and not exaggerated like many shaped polys. The ball flight still has a nice arc and they impart spin well when you hit it right.

If I had to compare to other Head strings, they are softer than Hawk, a similar feeling to Hawk Power but slightly softer and more powerful. They are slightly firmer than LynxSpin2 with a bit less power.
Even though I like both, I still keep picking up V1 over V2. I could see a lot of people wanting to pair either with Lynx Tour.

Exec Summary:
This has been a very enjoyable play test aided by some great weather in the mid-50F (weekend a.m.) to mid-70F (afternoons). Both of these Head strings could (should) be released in my opinion. On the heels of the Hyper-G Round (review), Gamma Sapphire (review) play tests, I find the Head V1 and V2 round string offerings to be competitive with Sapphire and better than Hyper-G Round. Of the two, V1 is softer/plusher and V2 is crisp/firm. There is still life in the string beds after twelve hours and I intend to continue playing for another week. If there is a significant change in experience I will post an update to this Exec Summary.

Stringing
Received and strung on April 10.

S = Singles/D = Doubles/ BM =machine Played April 10 (1 BM, 2 S, all p.m.), 11 (2 D p.m.), 12 (1 S mid-day), 13 (3 D a.m.), 14 (3 D a.m.), 16 (2.5 D p.m.),18 (1.5 S a.m.)

Both strings were straightforward to string without a pre-stretch and there was no bird nesting out of the packets. They are not slick - like YPTF/YPTR or TBZ - and appear to have a higher string-to-string friction coefficient than Gamma Sapphire (most recent TW playtest).

Power
V1 - In my opinion, V1 was slightly more powerful in the very first session, but got progressively more power powerful by the eighth hour.

V2 - Has a shade less inherent power than V1 initially, but not so much that I had to swing differently to impart the same comparative weight to the ball. However, into the eight hour, it seems to have held tension better so the power level has been more consistent for me.

For example, by the eight hour, during baseline rallies, balls off V2 landed consistently in the targeted area of the court while V1 generated some shots that went longer than expected/anticipated. For services, with V2 I was less concerned with balls going long/wide compared to V1.

Control
Both V1 and V2 offered very good control, but I would give the edge to V2 on most shots over its life span because I felt the response was more consistent off the stringbed. With both strings I could play my normal game most of the time except for adjusting for V1's increase in power.

Feel
V1 - In my opinion, V1 is softer and more comfortable than V2. For those players wanting the feel of more ball pocketing / dwell time - I would steer them toward V1.

V2 - Has definitely has a firmer / stiffer feel than V1.

Overall, V1 feels softer, plusher on ball contact while V2 is firmer, but I preferred the feel of V2 on most shots.

Spin
V1 and V2 - These appear to be circular in cross section. Spin production is not an issue with either one. Given the round profile, the spin response (flight path) was consistent from both V1 and V2 compared with an extreme shaped (Genesis Trionic/ W-C Ultra Cable). Hitting partners indicated that V1 generated more ball height upon landing and balls off V2 came through quicker.

Playability Duration
V1 - It was the slightly less consistent performer of the two strings side-by-side on the typical parameters after the initial eight hours. The string bed appeared to have softened more than I prefer. This could be a tension maintenance issue, but that be addressed with a light (5%) pre-stretch.

V2 - The overall playability of V2 was consistent and tension loss was not as apparent as with V1 over the first eight hours. The string bed still feels crisp.

Of the two, V1 was comparable to Gamma Sapphire.

Tension Recommendations
I was happy with the tension chosen for the play test in my racquets with similar specs. However, if I were to string V1 again, a light manual of 5% machine pre-stretch is warranted. I would not pre-stretch V2.

Tournament Selection (added because I like this section with the Head Co-poly Playtest)
I would be happy with either and carry a couple of racquets with each.

Going to play with V1 and V2 in rotation for tonights doubles match. So far have about 3 hours on each string, they feel very similar so far. Review will come when I have over 10 hours of playtime per string. One thing I did notice is that I felt some tightness in the elbow after playing/practicing singles with both strings.

I haven't read all the posts, but I have heard from internal sources that the strings are 7-edged.
I'm currently at a tennis camp in Croatia and have already tested both strings briefly - they're really good and I really liked them.

You’re not the only one, I actually strung lower than my usual and am getting some pain. Not the case as per my usual setups

Player Background: 4.5 League/Tournament player, aggressive baseline game relying on serve and forehand. Playing at altitude (5000+ ft) indoors on very quick courts and outdoors on grittier, slower courts.
Activity: 8+ hours on each across competitive doubles matchplay, singles point play, hitting/drilling.
Tension(s) used for each string: 50lbs for both V1 and V2 on a Prince Neos 1000. Both were relatively easy to string, with average coil memory and slicker than average feel. The string felt round, but it could also be 7+ sided string that basically feels round. Note that I've been stringing syn gut crosses for a while, which has spoiled me when I stringing my crosses. As stated earlier in this thread, both sets of string measured 1.26-1.27 in diameter.
Regular string set-up & tension: Alu Power Silver 16 / Gosen OG Sheep Micro Natural 17 between 52-48lbs depending on conditions. I also have long-term experience with Yonex Poly Tour Rev, Solinco Tour Bite, among others.
Racquet(s) used for playtest: Gravity Pro Auxetic, no modifications other than to match frames.

Compare control/power of each string:
  • V1 - Felt more powerful compared to V2, especially over the course of the playtest. Overall, average power for a poly. Directional control made both strings good candidates for point-and-shoot players from all over the court. Control when directing serves and popping volleys was great.
  • V2 - This felt less powerful, but only marginally so. Directional control was a standout for me while the strings were fresh. Launch angle was lower than I experienced with my usual setup, especially when the strings were fresh. Given all other variables were the same, the power and control were very similar across these samples.
Compare feel of each string
  • V1 - This was the standout differentiator between these two strings. V1 was noticeably softer than V2, with a pocketing/softness that was absent in V2. The pocketing sensation each session felt more noticeable. In general, the feel is direct and crisp as opposed to being muted or gummy (i.e., like Poly Tour Rev).
  • V2 - I would consider V2 a noticeably firm string, even in my Gravity Pros. It never aggravated my arm/wrist issues, but I could see in stiffer frames that the firmness could flare up arm issues. I enjoyed the consistency of the string bed for V2.
  • Overall, while this was the easiest way to differentiate these strings, I didn't particularly enjoy the feel of these strings, given how stiff they felt in comparison to my usual hybrid setup. I'd be curious how these would perform with syngut in the crosses.

Compare spin potential of each string
  • V1 - I would give V1 a slight edge in spin potential, thought it was very difficult to find a difference between these two. If anything, the launch angle and perceived spin via the higher arching ball path is what makes V1 have an edge.
  • V2 - I definitely got more spin than my usual setup with both strings, given this was a relatively slick, full poly setup. Kick serves and slices were standouts for both strings, but especially V2 with the slightly lower launch angle.

Compare playability duration of each string
  • V1 - Playability dropped for V1 more than V2, given its softer feel the pocketing sensation led to less control after about 5 hours of play.
  • V2 - While firmer, the playability duration of V2 was noticeable for me over V1. The string felt much closer to what it was fresh compared to V1 at the 8+ hour mark.
  • Due to the potential comfort issues listed in the feel section, I would be hesitant to use either string for much longer than 8 hours. I haven't used a full poly setup in a while, due to comfort and feel preferences. There is significant wear and notching on the strings at this stage for both versions. Both strings, given the white/pearlescent color, tend to show black/red discoloration readily.

Tension findings - would you string either of these strings differently on a second try? Explain answer
  • V1 - I could string V1 maybe a couple pounds higher to see if I could extend the playability duration and limit the pocketing sensation from becoming too unwieldy over time. Maximum of 52lbs.
  • V2 - I would lower the tension next go-around, given the decent playability duration of V2, and firm feel. 48-46lbs.
  • I'd be curious about using both of these strings in a hybrid with something softer in the crosses, or potentially with V1 mains (at 52lbs) and V2 crosses (lower, at 50-48lbs).
Overall
  • Main differentiator is feel: V1 is softer than V2.
  • Spin, control, power are all similar and average for a poly. Directional control and slice were standouts.
  • V2 is firm, and could cause arm irritation at higher tensions in stiffer frames.
  • Thanks TW and Head! Love this kind of player (fanatic) engagement.
Vote
  • Tennis is a "feel" game for me - and I prefer V1 for that alone. Other characteristics are too similar to be swayed to picking V2, though I'd be curious about how much lower I could string V2 given its positives to improve its feel.

After the nearly hour both strings got Monday and then sitting for a few days, they loosened up nicely versus fresh off the stringer. The feel is better now.
Played a doubles match today (lost )
Another tomorrow and singles on Monday.

I do think these must be fairly firm but muted so far. Again, these are still initial impressions. Once I get into the meat of testing by next week, I'll have a better idea overall.
Initially, they're pretty similar, which stands to reason as they are the final two from which to be chosen.

I don't think this is shaped, but it could be very subtle like Poly Tour Rev. The feel actually reminds me a bit of that string but firmer.

This was a very fun playtest as I think that even when using 2 different racket set ups, both strings showed that regardless of racket set up, it still felt familiar and made the hitting sessions really enjoyable.

Tension(s) used for each string:
Both rackets were strung at 48 pounds on both rackets

Regular string set-up & tension:
Currently, Ive been really enjoing 48/44 with most string setups, but my current string of choice would be Toroline Kpop.

Racquet(s) used for playtest:
Wilson RF 97 (V1) and Head Speed Graphene Touch MP (V2)

Compare control/power of each string:
At first, I really couldnt tell the difference for both power and control of the string. Whenever I use my RF i tend to let the racket do the work bc of the weight and felt like I was getting really good pop and control when ripping shots with the V1. With the Speed MP, I was also getting good power/control but I felt like I had to do just a bit more power wise since the racket didnt have as much weight, but felt way more confident for the control aspect. I think that with my style of play, I would lean more towards the V2 since to me it felt like I was more in control with depth and everything. Don't get me wrong though I think that both the V1 and V2 play pretty identical, there was just something about the V2 that gave me more confidence.

V1 Power: 3.8/5 V1 Control: 3.5/5
V2 Power: 3.5/5 V2 Control: 3.8/5

Compare feel of each string:
The feel to me felt pretty much felt almost the same, but I did notice that espeically when warming up serves, I can feel a slight difference. While both strings were pretty comfortable, the V2 had a slightly firmer feel to the string bed. I could say maybe it could be due to the lighter racket, but I noticed on my kick/slice serves, I was getting a more stiffer response from the V2 giving me more kick. I would say that both still played the same with ball pocketing but just a slight difference in stiffness. (Hopefully its not all in my head lol)

V1 Feel: 3.5/5 V1 Feel: 3.8/5

Compare spin potential of each string:
Both string set up had good ball bite, and like with other string reviews I always try and compare to a sping set up like Hyper G. Though you wouldnt get the same ball bite, I was surpirsed on the bite I was getting without changing too much of my strokes. With the difference in weight and everything, I still felt like I was able to produce a good amount of spin for my test and was rewarded when following through my shots. Between returns and groundstrokes, I felt confident in my swingpath and saw that I was getting good depth and spin keeping my opponets back.

Both V1/V2 Spin: 3.5/5

Compare playability duration of each string:
I'm not really a string breaker unless its something like a poly/multi hybrid but I felt like the playability and tension maintenace was not too bad. I did like the string bed more for both strings when the tension dropped or settled in, but I felt like I could still string the rackets up the day of and play right off the stringer with no issues.

V1/V2 Playability duration: 4/5

Tension findings - would you string either of these strings differently on a second try?
For me as of late, the sweet spot for my tension would usually be around 48 lbs. I know with other hitters out there this would considered too low, but I feel like this string set up is comfortable enough to play at most tensions.

Overall thoughts?
I was always a fan of Hawk Power/Lynx tour from Head. I think that Head has been really consistent with their line up of strings as of recent. I would probably like to see if this would be a good hybrid set up to mix up with some of the other head strings and see if that will help this string shine more. Overall, I felt very confident playing with this string compared to some of the other string playtest I've been part of. I felt like there wasn't too much of a difference between the V1 and V2 and if there was some differences, it would only be so slightly. Hoping we can get more info on this string or see if they will launch with a thinner set up since Ive mainly been playing with a thinner guage set up.

Up to about 5 hours on each string.
The differences are definitely starting to standout, as several playtesters have noted as well.

For me the strings both felt stiff off the stringer, settled in nicely, and now are starting to diverge, at least in terms of feel.
There are some subtle differences in other areas, but I want to save something for the review.

I am having a bit of a dilemma on which I will choose because of some of the differing characteristics, stay tuned.
About a week to go, trying to get in as many sessions as possible

Racket for Playtest: Wilson Shift Pro V1 w/ a circle Babolat dampner
Regular String Setup: I switch between a Wasabi/Wasabi X hybrid (Wasabi Pro) and Solinco Confidential. Both setups strung @ 48 lbs

TLDR: V2 is my favorite.

Feel:
  • V1: A little out of order, but I feel this provides context for all my other comments about the strings. V1 feels very soft, pockets the ball well, and feels a bit like adrenaline to me. V1 gives you a bit of help in power, and is a very comfortable poly but ultimately feels a bit mushy/plush, similar to my Toroline hybrid setup (though not that extreme). The feel reminds me of a slightly stiffer Luxilon Adrenaline.
  • V2: While it isn't uncomfortable, but it is noticeably stiffer than V1. I'd almost say it feels similar to Confidential. It feels crisp and loads of feel. When hitting a heavy spin, it feels almost like ripping paper, I love it.
    • V1: 6/10
    • V2: 8/10
Control:
  • I feel the best way to evaluate control is by predictability. Here, I didn't feel there was a noticeable difference between the two other than I found V2 to be a bit more predictable than V1. Both do what I want, but any wildness I've experienced with V1 (which is very little) V2 tamed. If you prefer a direct feel from a stiffer string, you'll prefer V2 like me. If you like a bit more pocketing, V1 is your go-to. Overall, both were very predictable, on par with Confidential, better than my Toroline setup.
    • V1: 8/10
    • V2: 8.5/10
Power:
  • This is the category where I felt V1 shined compared to V2. The ball seemed to launch off the strings a bit more on V1, and I found it most evident on my serve. I didn't measure the pace difference, but it was noticeable. Both strings felt more powerful than Confidential, about on-par with my Wasabi/Wasabi X.
    • V1: 8.5/10
    • V2: 7/10
Spin:
  • V2, no question, is much better than V1. V1 felt like the ball slid off the strings (rather than the strings gripping the ball) so I wasn't able to maximize spin with this setup. V2 feels like it grabs the ball as well as a shaped poly. It was really surprising to me, but pleasantly so. V2 is much more in-line with the characteristics I prefer from a Confidential/Hyper G string, but from a round poly. The benefit also being neither is erratic when hitting flat. V1 was definitely a consistent launch, but I got maybe 6in more net clearance on average with V2 than V1.
    • V1: 5/10
    • V2: 9/10
Comfort:
  • I added this category because I did notice some difference. As mentioned above with feel, V1 pocketed the ball much better and my arm felt less fatigued after a session with V1 than V2. This caused V1 to be more muted, but I do think any folks with arm issues will greatly prefer this one. I played 4+ hours a few days ago, and felt almost no fatigue from using the frame or twinge of pain. I did feel it a bit with V2, nothing concerning, but it definitely wasn't as comfortable as V1.
    • V1: 9/10
    • V2: 6/10
Playability Duration:
  • After ~ 12 hours between the two strings, I'm finding similar playability to Confidential. V2 has slightly better playability over the period, but both play well. For me, that means excellent playability for 3 hours, good playability for 2, and I'm now waiting for the strings to break around the 6 hour mark. Pretty typical for me. I will say, they definitely aren't snapping back as well as Toroline. One thing I like about my Wasabi Pro setup is that they never really need to be adjusted, even after 5-6 hours of play. I'm finding that on both strings I have to do that around the 5 hour mark, though, I do get about an hour more playability out of the V2.
    • V1: 7.5/10
    • V2: 7.5/10
Tension Findings:
  • As mentioned above, I strung at 48 lbs and I think I nailed it on the tension (luck). I do think that for V1, I could go up to maybe 52 pounds to get better feeling out of the string bed at the sacrifice of it's plushness. I wouldn't try that with the V2 as it would probably be a bit too stiff with my frame and I do enjoy where it's at now. On frames with more flex, I'd probably push into the low 50's to retain a crisp feel, but that's because of my general setup preferences.

Other:
  • Something I thought worth mentioning was the sound of V1 was quite different from V2 on my serve. V1 sounded like a deep thwack, several of my hitting partners commented on it, which I found interesting. V2 sounded normal.
  • I would put V2 in my racket again, and I hope it's the one they go with. I'd have to test it more extensively, and it would likely come down to cost, but I like it about as much as Confidential. It's a better overall string than my Wasabi Pro setup, but I use that setup out of price consciousness than playability anyway.
  • This string reminded me quite a bit of Luxilon Adrenaline. Adrenaline isn't a string I use often and it's closer to V1 than V2, but I think this brings out the best attributes of that and Confidential if you're looking for helpful reference points.

Happy to answer any questions, thanks TW for the opportunity to playtest, it was really enjoyable!

Update: V2 broke first. I can't say I'm surprised based on how the string behaved. Total time was 7 hours which is about in-line with most of my string breakage. V1 is at 7 hours as well, no signs of immediate breakage yet.

Very subtle then.
I stick with my comparison of PT Rev, you can hardly tell it is shaped too.
Neither this nor PT Rev really grab/bite the ball like sharper edged strings.
Well - what do you have in mind?
There's a thing with a diameter of 1.26 - 1.28 mm.
Then there are 7 edges - how long do you think one edge is?
Barely palpable - but not round - that's the point.
If you cut the string with a sharp knife (and don't crush it) you can see the edges with a good magnifying glass.
...and I'm off............... :giggle:

I guess I don't understand your response to.....my observation?

I mean, with 7-edges, it's not going to be a razor blade - anyway, I like these good things.
I never said I didn't like it?
I was, again, making an observation some shaped strings have aggressive edges, this one doesn't.
I prefer less aggressive edges because the feel doesn't fall off as significantly when the edges wear down but you don't get the same bite.
It's a trade-off. (Shoulder shrug emoji)

In this case, it's interesting if these are relatives to Lynx Tour. To me, it's the Goldilocks of shaped strings.
