Camera broke today, got hit. This is older stuff back when i had a 13.8oz racket (blacked out ncode) and 15lbs on belly (was injured though).

Takes me 45mins to get warmed up, but strokes are the same pretty much

Synthetic grass courts?

I've played on synth grass courts a few times in Singapore. Serves are definitely harder to return on them.

I love it. Most newish courts in Melbourne (Australia) now seem to be artificial grass. Go back 10 years and they were all en-tout-cas (sort of clay). The local councils are replacing them all as they require less maintenance and play ‘better’. We play outdoors all year and the courts play well with a bit of rain.

The footing scares me a little when it gets damp, though. On clay I feel like the slide is more predictable. On the synthetic grass I feel like I am one bad slide away from a groin injury.

The sand actually makes it less slippery, can see the foot prints in his video. Well maintained court, can probably sweep off the marks

I like the synth grass courts in some ways, though b/c I like serve & volleying and coming to the net. Volleys are much easier to put away.

The bounce is fast but consistent, unlike some clay courts. Id like to see this surface go pro, karlovic would probably win though

Your dad looks like he still moves pretty well. How old is he?

65+, he hits that low flat stuff, troubles alot of players. He could be ranked high in the nation if he wanted to be. Used to win all the 4.5 tournaments.

Playing him really helped me, i prefer to hit flat and down off high balls, he keeps it low so i have to work harder.

I don't post too much on the forums.. I am usually here for information but I do enjoy videos of TW posters so I decided to post a video of warm up and match play from yesterday...I apologize already for the bad footwork...hahaa I am wearing the purple shirt

@onehandbh to be added to complete list .. really enjoy this thread!

Love seeing full matches/sets. You get pretty good spin on your topspin backhand.

That is an unusual color for a tennis court. Where is that court located?

He definitely looks like an experienced player. Good anticipation and really solid off the ground.

From a while back.. don’t have anything new
Nice strokes. As I recall, you had a 1hbh and switched to 2hbh.
Your 2hbh seems to have a loop like A. Zverev.

Is there a reason you use a loop vs straight takeback like Agassi and most of the younger guys?
I'm thinking of using a loop as my hip and lower back hurt from rotating the hip quickly on the forward swing from the Agassi style, straight takeback position.

I live in Los Angeles,CA we played at a local golf/tennis club.. notice the extra lines on the court.. they play pickleball as well in this court

I love the Pomo forehand! How in the hell does he get that weird flat swat like swing to go in?

Having switched from the 1hbh i just chose a backhand i liked on the pro tour to base it on.. I liked how fluid Murray's 2hander is so its more based around his backhand

Nice hitting!

But don't think that we didn't notice you taking a couple on 2 bounces :)

Hahaha, once I break a sweat I'll gladly run them down. I have to play real matches in a month and my wrist is juuuust getting better so I don't need any other injuries.

I'm expecting BSSH's left knee to buckle at some point from all that unnatural and unnecessary stress / torsion he's putting on it trying to hit that sanctimonious sacrilege he calls a forehand.

The discrepancy between the size of his torso and his chicken legs is also something I hadn't noticed until now.

Maybe his insistence that his technique was revolutionary, coupled with his distracting technique took attention away from his physical state.

The ratio between one's shoulder's/chest/waist/hip/leg circumference may be somewhat hereditary.

The FH he hit at 1:24 looked pretty hard.
