i recently playtested this combo and the crosses broke at the end of the first session, that is 2 hours - just like the vast majority of multis i used/tested as crosses. i went on to recross the stick and the mains lasted for another session, just in line with the durability i usually get from most 1.25mm poly mains.
the combo played quite decent, but in no aspect outstanding.
this coating stuff is a really funny thing and it is surprising how many people do buy into this - let me elaborate: a coating is something applied on top of something, in this case on both a poly and a multi. while initially it does work, reducing friction since the surface is much smoother, you basically have wear on the coating from both ball contact as well as interstring friction. at a certain point in time this coating will have worn off and you have "worked" your way through to the "regular" poly-material respectively multi-material. there is no more low friction benefit from this point on! from the few "coated" strings i have played so far, it seemed to me that the "coating-effect" vanished after about 30-45mins of hitting - that is for me about 20% of the lifetime of the string.
