This is probably the worst I have seen Federer play

Absolutely fuming at the AO and the stupid 10 point tb.

Millman is probably the rightful winner.

But Federer forgot how to play today. LoL at his FH.

Imagine anyone going to his Forehand that often in 2005-07.
Even Nadal on clay avoided it like a plague at times.

Stupid AO . STUPID RULE.
Federer is out of the tourney for me.

You know a forehand cross won the match for Fed

The last set he played at the same level he played WImbledon final. Same very precise slices and changes of directions. It was his final form. He can trouble Djokovic should they meet

Worst that you've seen Federer play? Nah, he was way worse against Millman in 2018

What an abomination that was! First two sets: just passable baseline game (about Millman's equal as in today's match) but terrible serving, below 40% 1st serve LOL Last two sets: decent serving but terrible groundstrokes, Fred won like 20% of baseline rallies beyond 5 shots, ROFLMAO

But he's not out as he won fair and square

Tiebreaker in the final set of a slam is a stupid rule. Hence why it was a tie at WC19...

It's not a stupid rule at all. Having a tie break in the final set is absolutely the right thing. Just no justification at all for making players exhausted slogging out game after game.

Forehand cross court won the match for Fed :-D

Millman is fierce competitor , with hard ground strokes but iffy net play, playing at home I thought he played quality tennis.

Millman was at home? Didn't really feel like it by the 5th set

His forehand has become a big vulnerability for him unless he's in control of the point(and even then on days like today it's looking very tight, as if he's holding back on it a bit and trying to over control things). It has gone from being probably the most feared shot on tour to being a shot that opponents deliberately target to take control of the points. Millman was literally feasting on it today at times.

But as absurd as this may be to the ones of us that still remember him during his peak years, we have to keep a higher perspective here and remember that we're looking at an almost 40 years old version of the guy. It's only natural that this happens, and that he's still playing never mind competing at this level is nothing short of legendary, and it may be over sooner than we think.

So to all of my fellow Roger Federer fans; let's just enjoy every bit of this to the fullest!!
