It certainly wasn’t his all out attacking strategy and clutch volleying that got him the result.

TTW taught me that he didn't actually beat Sinner or Diego, the ATP granted him a walkover because he gestured to the crowd and started “clowning” and laughing between points. No professional can win with that sort of thing going on.

His tennis and attitude are quite entertaining if you're rooting for him. In general Tiafoe is a welcome burst of personality that is mostly absent from tennis matches now. Totally understand that not everyone appreaciates theatrics but it gets the crowd going which then seemingly raises the stakes of the match.

Not to sound crazy, but the match vs Schwartzman for me is one of the most memorable matches this year . At the end of that second set everyone was buzzing with so much energy, including both players. That's an amazing atmoshere that many matches deserve but don't get because of how restrained players are.

I'm on the fence when it comes to Tiafoe, he seems like a nice guy and fun to be around but in this latest tournament I think his behaviour on court was OTT, to the point where I actually think it was intentional gamesmanship and dirty mind games to try and put off his opponents. Im just 13 years older but yeah I do well for an 80's baby lol, Oreo is closer to Tiafoe's age than me LOL he's 15. I got him in 2006 when he was 4 weeks old that pic is around this time last year.

Tiafoe played tennis the way it's supposed to be played. Too bad the boring power and consistency of Zverev who didn't have to come forward or make a volley the whole match gave him the win. Tiafoe's inferior strokes make him play intelligent tennis and construct points. But, it shouldn't be like that. People with good strokes also need to have to play proper tennis for tennis to become interesting on tv. The good tennis is under a big threat. The reason is true bounce - if they played on surface that doesn't grant true bounce, like clay or grass, Tiafoe would have much bigger chances. Well, actually he wouldn't because his strokes are too crappy for grass and clay, but i think you get my point. With true bounce boring bashers like Zverev just run around the baseline without constructing points

Well anybody with a brain wouldn’t be surprised. Tiafoe might have injuries but the main reason he’s ranked so low is his consistency and base level.
I’ll admit Tiafoe is fun to watch but unfortunately for him when his game is off his level drops so much that he can lose to most.
Have a look at his results over the last 2 years there is some howlers in there and that will always be a problem for him
