Both shoes are listed as mediums, but can anyone comment if they both fit / feel the same or if one is more narrow / wide than the other.

Thanks

Opps! I have the Speed Solution FF2 and the GR8 and I feel that the Gel Res 8 are muuuuch wider. Best shoe I've ever used. Wide foot, normal to high arch. True to size imo.

Asics Gel Resolution 8 11.5/46/29 - 448g - 15.8oz
Asics Solution Speed FF2 11.5/46/29 - 378g - 13.3oz

Tried the Court FF2s, didn't like the sock style, the high heel fit and they were too narrow.
Speed FF2s also a bit too narrow around the mid foot.
Regular Gel 8s are perfect for my wide feet. Don't have wide specific sizes in Europe....

thanks a lot for the reply. Any idea where to find the weight for the court ff2s?

TW lists them with the shoe however the FFs are a different size it seems... odd but for what it helps:
Court FF2 Weight: 404 grams (EU size 42)
Gel Resolution 8 Weight: 417 grams (size 10.5 US)
Speed FF2 Weight: 362 grams (US size 10.5)

Depends what is important for you... personally I don't see the weight difference as doing too much on court for me. I prefer stability and durability that's why I use the GR8s.
I definitely feel laterally the GR8s are the most stable out of the 3.

The most important aspect is stability, to not worry about my feet. I twisted my ankle twice, once it sidelined me for a good few weeks. Really dont want that to happen again.
My current shoes are kswiss at around 340g. The GR8 I have are at 400g. When I have the GR8s on, I dont really feel the extra weight but after playin for 2-3 hours / match it might become factor. Cant tell.
Maybe I go down your route and the ss ff2 too and skip the court ff2. For the court ff2 price tag I probably get the gr8s and the ss ff2 too

GR8s get very very hot fyi.
Both Speed FF2 and GR8s are more stable than the old Speeds and the old GR7.
I also like the Nike Vapor X for stability.
I twisted my ankle in GR7s and old Speeds and had to play with a Aircast A60 for a few months.
The only thing more stable on my feet were the K-Swiss Supreme but the durability was like 5 matches, so unusable unless you are Fognini and get them for free plus K-Swiss has horrible support I'd never purchase anything from them again.

Hi FT, made the call today and got the court ff2s instead of tge gr8s. Im uk size 8 and took actually the 7.5s as the 8s felt long. Tried the gr8 in 7.5 too but that was way too narrow.
Comparing them, different shoe on each leg, the gr8s were definitely softer, maybe too soft to my liking. Was worried that softness may co.promise the stability which is main thing for me.
The only downside of the court ff2s is hetting into them. Once inside though, it feels great.
Looking forward to their arrival and taking them onto court
