What makes it a hybrid?:-?

They call it hybrid because it is made with a cotton blend rather than pure polyester like most other Nike hats. I have a hybrid hat that has the old school "Nike" with the swoosh below. They fit me better than the Feather Light hats.

That looks very nice, although I am unsure if I'd wear it. But I think it is great that TW has them available for sale.

Huh? I hope you're kidding.:-?

Why would you hope he's kidding? People should wear whatever they want to wear. Personally, the RF thing is just a logo, and I don't see it as any more (or less) silly than wearing a large-logo nike cap.

One may say: I like a big company and I bizarrely want to help them advertise
The other may say: I like a great player (and I bizarrely want to help him advertise :p)

Of course: Neither should say anything, but that's not how life works :)

It's there. the "R" is combined w/ the "F". It just doesn't have the vertical line on the right side to complete the >>> "R". sorry if i confused more :-?

I had hoped he's kidding because for one I completely agree with iradical18's comment, especially since I don't interprate it as suggesting that he's overly concerned with what other people think. If I saw someone wearing that hat I would think that they're a tool. So I wouldn't wear that hat because I don't want to look like a tool. That's because I care about what I think. I also care about what like-minded people think, because they share my thoughts. There are plenty of things that a lot of people think are cool that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing.

If you want to wear that hat--be my guest! I encourage you to value your own fashion sense more than that of an anonymous guy on a message board.:)

Secondly, it's way too frequent that I come across posts on this forum in which someone is taking a morally superior stance spitting some hollow status quo cliche. I'm talking about posts like this:

Poster A: I don't like playing at those courts, they're in a rough neighborhood.

Poster B: Why? Celebrate diversity!

the one thing i'm still trying to understand stand is why so many people have a problem wearing a hat with the logo "RF" but nike has been putting the logo "TW" on golf hats for some time and i've actually seen other pro and semi pro golfers wearing them. it's really not that big a deal

"It's just a hat. Chill out homez."

It's not the same hat that was sold at the open.

the exclusive RF logo hat is here at TW!...not sure if its the same exact one he wears but its got the RF logo, named a hybrid hat..

FYI
This is not the same one as the limited edition sold at the open. The back of the logo is different (no swiss stars) and the material is dri-fit, the original is more like a golf cap.

we ordinary tennis enthusiasts will just never get the real roger federer gear, even if its just a hat...

why not a cotton version?

I was a little dissappointed to see that the hat was made of the dri-fit material. In my experience the dri-fit hats lose shape and go limp once they have been worn long enough.

A proper cotton hat, although not as good to play with in hot weather would last a long time and hold its shape...that way you could represent on and off the court. I am pretty sure that once this hat gets worn enough it will deteriorate pretty quickly...

And black...why black, any other color would have been fine, but they choose the one which absorbs the most sunlight...I can wear it suring the winter i guess.
