I had hoped he's kidding because for one I completely agree with iradical18's comment, especially since I don't interprate it as suggesting that he's overly concerned with what other people think. If I saw someone wearing that hat I would think that they're a tool. So I wouldn't wear that hat because I don't want to look like a tool. That's because
I care about what
I think. I also care about what like-minded people think, because they share my thoughts. There are plenty of things that a lot of people think are cool that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing.
If you want to wear that hat--be my guest! I encourage you to value your own fashion sense more than that of an anonymous guy on a message board.
Secondly, it's way too frequent that I come across posts on this forum in which someone is taking a morally superior stance spitting some hollow status quo cliche. I'm talking about posts like this:
Poster A: I don't like playing at those courts, they're in a rough neighborhood.
Poster B: Why? Celebrate diversity!
