the worst at the moment is Alexandra Stevenson. The voice, the condescending attitude, the analysis, the hissing s's in her speech (once you hear that you can't unheard it!) ugh. You can also tell no one likes her (except Pam) The worst ever. Sorry there are so many other people who deserve the job over her. She's a big Nepo-baby who wasn't that great at tennis yet acts like she was. She's insufferable. I had other people low on the list but she absolutely makes them look like gold. I want an eject button haha.
I love Cliffy and am nowhere close to his age. He's cute and polite, his commentary is valid. I don't mind him at all and it gives a through line for many years/the history of tennis and I like that. I like pretty much everyone else on ESPN and they seem to get along which I like. I do like the McEnroe bros a lot--though I do wish sometimes John would lay off criticizing everything Fowler says--it's semi-hilarious bc the ego is big with that one, meaning John. But the boys are all funny together, especially when shoved in a bunker. Brad Gilbert used to drive me crazy with his dumb nicknames but he's calmed down a bit and I like him too. I like James Blake but I do admit that sometimes his monotone voice puts me to sleep--but I totally appreciate his views on a lot of things that relate to tennis morals I guess you would call them. My least favorite other than Alexandra is Chris Evert. I feel bad for her now though and I think she's mellowed out having been humbled by illness--and she does have the credibility of being a top player so that deserves a pass I'd guess as it does for many in all parts of sports commentating.
On Tennis Channel. I'm ready to see Courier go--I don't care if his analysis is pretty good. The chip on his shoulder and condescending nature are ugh. I think Chanda is really good-she's welcoming and easy to listen to, it's easy breezy with her.
