It's weird, mine has Red Code at 56lbs and it still feels super comfortable and the sweetspot is fine. Another magic Dunlop with mysterious powers!

Similarly, I really want a Slazenger Type II NX One reissue. That had superb feel, probably related to the Pro-Braided / M-Fil / MW era layups

@Grafil Injection Which version are you talking about? There was one that was sold here in the states that was a Dunlop 300 mold and was fairly light. In Europe and elsewhere, the version was the 300 Tour mold, and was 320g (which I only realized yesterday when I saw one for sale on the auction site. Assumed it was the same as the other). I have the regular 300 mold version, with a little bit of lead in the head and leather grip. Haven't used it in a while, though.

It's the paintjob Henman used in 2006 on his 6.1 95. 305g unstrung, 16x18, 63 RA, 97sqi. Although I believe it was considered most similar to the Dunlop M-Fil 200 Plus v2 (which is the v1 with the 0.25'' shaved off the handle), it didn't play that similar to me because it felt more solid. Haven't seen one in a while.

If I may add, what I liked about the M-Fil 200 Plus is that it was the mold referred to early on as the "Dunlop pro mold" which was later used for the 300 Tours. But the M-Fil one in addition to the mold also had a nice drill pattern - 16x19 but with 8 mains in the throat, the spacing really appealed to me. Also that 27.5 inches and only circa 330 kg⋅cm² swingweight made it solid but not club like - many extended frames feel like they have to much mass in the head, the M-Fil 200 Plus is an exception. Really nice allround extended frame. IMHO if Srixon has access/rights to Dunlops past mold/layup inventory they really should do a couple runs of chosen frames to see if the sentiment is there.

Weirdly, because I know the specs are totally different, I found the Pro Staff X to play a bit like a MW 200G. It has a similar stable feeling upper hoop, whilst still being easy to manoeuvre. Not as nice a feeling on contact due to the higher stiffness, but somehow a related easy playability as the MW has. Effectively, feels easier to play than its static and swing weights may suggest. That's a big compliment to the PS X!

Since we're talking. Anyone willing to share their testimonials/stories about Dunlop frames and how it would be nice if Srixon released something from old Dunlop linups? Revelations? Mauresmo pro stock? M-Fil 200 Plus?
Not aiming for any particular model. Just thinking of showing Srixon that there still are Dunlop fans who'd be interested. We could consolidate our stories and ask TW to forward it.
We don't have to restrict ourselves to only our community. We could ask our tennis friends if they'd like to share their stories?

There's clearly room in the Dunlop catalogue for a full-weight model to return, since the current CX200-Tours are both 310g when you consider the the 18x20 comes with a leather grip. Anything in the 325g region would be good like a Revelation, M-Fil or Aerogel. They could call it a CX-200G.

Yep! I’ll post pics when I get home. I was surprised to find head pallets and buttcaps on them…then I looked and they were originally 4 5/8 but the previous owner dropped them down to 4 3/8. I didn’t know dunlops had switchable pallets.

It was a frame I bought back in ‘06 when I got back into tennis-that time I only lasted maybe a year-because it was cheap and James Blake. When I again got back into tennis a few years ago I sold it and regretted it ever since. Truthfully I may not jive with the extra length so stay tuned. Also I took a look under the grip and it looks like a clean job.They don't. He had to remove the PU foam handle. If you don't like them contact me. The Plus, at least the 27.5 inch one, sadly wasn't available in my parts of the world. It was a very short run. I was a college kid back than so getting some from USA wasn't an option. I hoped they'd pop up in Europe but no luck. I only got to hit with one because some guy playing on the same courts had one - can't recall how he got hold of it.
Sidenote: AFAIK the M-Fil 300 was the bestseller, it was a nice frame but I think the sales back then were fueled by Mauresmo's first and last grandslam titles.
IIRC Australian Open and Wimbledon. Actually Dunlop fluked then because the M-Fil 200 and 300 were available in late Q1 2005 so when Mauresmo won AO 06 these were selling great.

I didn’t even know they made 2 versions of the plus when I sold my old one. It was the first thing I asked the seller of the 2 I just bought because I wanted the exact one I had. Wonder why they would call the non extended one plus also…..

My guess - headsize. They went with that naming later on - vide Biomimetic 200 and 200 Plus.
BTW back in the day one of the reasons I went with Dunlop was due to James Blake - really liked watching him play.

I was a huge James Blake fan as a kid too. I definitely remember his matches against agassi and Fed at the US open. Both were losses but he still played well, gave his all, and had a great attitude.

I believe it was due to Head size. I used to own one but it wasn’t extended and had a 97sq in head. My Biometic 200 plus is 100sq with 18x20

The M-Fil 200+ 2005 (27.5'') had a 330 swing-weight, then when they chopped off 0.5'' from the handle for the M-Fil 200+ 2006, the SW went down to 309. I always thought a 27.25'' model would have been good, guessing that it would have been around 320 SW.

It was ages ago but IIRC it didn't feel like 330 to me... but you know how it is with QC.

I had a big 200g phase in my playing "career" - Revelation, Muscle Weave; Hotmelt; Aerogel. All slightly different, but all fantastic. Alas, I eventually switched to a Babolat Pure Drive Roddick and then to a regular Pure Drive for a number of years. I think I'm going to move to the Yonex EZone after all those years with Babolat.

I can tell you the unstrung SW of the two I just got are 292 and 297.

I would be interested to know the strung SWs when you get them. Usually you can add 30-35pts, which would give 325 and 330, but I wonder if since the stringbed is 0.5'' further away from the handle the SW increase by more for this stick.

Nice 2hr session with the MW 200G tonight. The feel even on serves is superb. Such a great racket.

I'd prefer a release of the grommets for the 200 series as I have plenty of MW and M-Fil 200's but I'm low on the grommet count.
