WHAT I EAT IN A DAY: Novak Djokovic

What's your body type / blood group?
His diet will not suit everybody.
Just as a meat, dairy and gluten diet doesn't.

Tomatoes were once the bad boys, if you were suffering from arthritis.
Some experts now say they are not so bad.
Dairy is a bigger culprit I think - but that's just me.

I am a+ blood type, I gain weight easily on the stomach. Even when following healthy lifestyle.
Lately I noticed I gain weight when I eat a lot of vegetables, when I switch to meat I return few kilograms fast.

Djokovic must be taking the best nootropic blends out there.

A plant-based diet is fine, and he does eat carbs, but all the claims he makes for his various choices mimic the buzz words that surround such things.

Celery juice gives mental clarity? I don't think so.

Side effects may included hybris and spurts of illusionary exceptionality

Would a pizza, no cheese with a cauliflower crust still be a pizza?

What vegetables promote weight gain? MAYBE potatoes. But even there I have heard of people eating elemental diets composed of mainly potatoes losing significant weight.

Is it possible to have an unhealthy Vegan diet? Of course. One could eat sugar cookies all day and avoid animal products. But a plant-based diet like Djokovic’s would benefit virtually anyone.

Well, I ate soup with potatoes, zucchini, carrots... I never ate sweets in this period and I gained a little bit. There are just people that are not made to eat some things.

Perhaps a Sumo diet would be ideal to add weight. Plenty of white rice, oodles of noodles, and jugs of beer.

Then sleep on a full stomach.

Did you include added sugar? What were you drinking? Alcohol adds weight too.

What an immoral dissenter Novak is. He doesn't even eat cheeseburgers.

He should be eating formerly living things that were bred and slaughtered for our enjoyment and should practice social distancing like the rest of us morally righteous folk.

No, I do not drink sugary drinks or eat sweets. I just drink a lot of water and I think I keep it in my body. I am overweight by 15-20 kgs but my stomach is very tight, just big.

There's a whole branch of medicine that focuses on gut health as the first step in maintaining a healthy body.
Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, postulated that all disease begins in the gut. This branch of medicine is generally called Functional Medicine.

Have you tried temporarily removing certain foods for your daily diet to see what happens?

The tooth fairy puts a pizza slice on Pizzovic's pillow at night, and we all know which pizzeria that comes from.

Don't know for sure to be honest. I'll say this, if it is working wonders for him, I am sure he still has it around.

I only ask because I read a portion of his book, "Serve To Win" about 3 or 4 years ago. In the book he talks in some detail about what he eats and I remember he said he would start everyday or most days with a spoonful of Manuka honey. I got curious and wanted to see how it compared to regular honey, so I bought a small jar or container. Definitely not for me.

Never tried it myself, but I can see why he took. And yeah, I am sure it's not for everyone. LOL

Yeah, removing vegetables and going keto helps but I don't like meat so much.

I can understand that, also too much meat puts a lot of digestive stress on the body. It is a delicate balancing act to find out what works and how best to sustain it for a long period. I often work with my clients looking at their blood work and looking at what intolerances they have, helps me to best advise them with how to build a solid and comprehensive nutritional plan. Everyone is unqiue, so each one is different.
